Chivas USA broke out on Saturday night and did so in a big way, defeating the New England Revolution 3-0 at the Home Depot Center.

The Rojiblancos took the lead in the 22nd minute of play when Nick LaBrocca split two Revs defenders to head in Ben Zemanski's cross from the end line. The goal was LaBrocca's first of the season and marked the first time Chivas USA had taken the lead at home this season.

The Goats got their second goal at the end of the second half when Alejandro Moreno played in a ball to Marcos Mondaini. The Argentine made an acrobatic volley that was too much for Revolution 'keeper Bobby Shuttleworth to handle.

Chivas USA closed the scoring in the 57th minute when Moreno poached a poor back pass by Shalrie Joseph to Didier Domi. The Venezuelan veteran easily fired the ball into the Revolution net for the final goal of the night.

The home side almost got a fourth in the 72nd minute when Jorge Flores nearly converted off a Moreno rebound, but Shuttleworth was able to make a toe save.

New England came close to breaking the shutout when Zack Schilawski beat Chivas goalkeeper Dan Kennedy, forcing defender Heath Pearce to make a late clearance near the line.

Chivas USA dominated possession against a Revolution team that had earned a confident result last weekend against Sporting Kansas City, but prized new acquisition Benny Feilhaber was largely ineffective against an energetic Chivas midfield.

The victory is the Rojiblancos' second in a row and they are now undefeated in their last five games. Improving to 2-2-3, Chivas USA next travel to Rio Tinto Stadium to take on Real Salt Lake on May 7.

New England, now also 2-2-3, return home to Gillette Stadium, where they'll host the defending champion Colorado Rapids on the same day.
