Anyone have a viable reason(s)why Nando just didnt do it for us? He came as a proven top notch performer at the highest level. Proven in the Champions League with 2 different teams, established (if irregular) international. He had a 2 year spell with us so enough time to settle in, one would think. Since he has arrived back in Spain with Valencia he is scoring week in week out. He produced 2 sublime moments of skill in the recent Copa del Rey (Spanish FA Cup)to make two sweet goals. He has played his way back into the Spanish national team and looks every inch a top top international striker. Composed when scoring and making goals, very efficient leader of the line. I refuse to believe that Valencia have better players than us so it cant be the players he's surrounded by (although David Villa and Silva are top notch). Any thoughts, theories or was it just one of those football things?
Language, Climate, Lifestyle, Schedule (More games, played earlier in the day), the fact he got kicked a lot and a huge loss of confidence. I mean he had enough chances at Liverpool, they gave him a run in the team and he still couldn't score from 6 yards out. It just happens sometimes doesn't mean hes a poor player, as evidenced by his current form in more natural surroundings. But hey it would have been daft not to sign him for 6.3mil, but sometimes it just doesn't work however atleast youalledgedly recouped half of what you paid.
