The essay author uses stupid-americans which is cute but I think Blazing Saddles hits it perfectly. They are morons. A lot of things that seemed confusing about how these guys act suddenly fell into place after reading this. Morons have their own culture: Cybertruck? Moronic engineering. AI Slop? Moronic art. Trickledown? Moronic economics. Scientology? Moronic religion. Trumpism? Moronic politics. Morons are having a moment right now.
