Almond and his father, Willie, interviewed five agents last weekend in Almond's hometown of Atlanta. Almond has made his choice, but will withhold an announcement until after he has notified the candidates. He is scheduled to graduate this May (Almond is taking 14 hours this semester), but Almond will spend his weekends working out with John Lucas in advance of the pre-draft camps that will take place in early summer.

"It's definite. I'm in full force with both feet, whereas last year there were so many different rules," Almond said, referencing his decision to enter the draft following his breakout junior season before withdrawing his name from consideration. "Last year, we were just feeling our way through. This year, it's just exciting because it's so close."</div>
