Much like Rodney Stuckey, Morris Almond is a small-college SG that currently is under the radar. I believe a lot of people are sleeping on this kid, and a lot of scouts don't actually know how good he'll be. It's a shame because Draft Express believes that this kid will turn out to be Matt Barnes in the best case scenario. He's an explosive scorer, and an extremely efficient one, at that, as well. He knocks the perimeter jumpshot down with consistency, and he's in NBA-ready shape. He is the perfect fit for a NBA SG. His ball-handling could use a little work, but other than that I really this kid could be much like a Rip Hamilton type player. What do you guys think?
He's essentially a Michael Redd clone. He's not small either, he's 6'6" 215 with long arms and a strong body. Like Redd he's a three-bomber, can shoot from anywhere, can go to the basket, complete offensive game, scorers mentality, doesn't give much defensive effort. I've never seen a player that looks so much like another player....When you read Almond's scouting profiles it's like your reading about Michael Redd's game....I like this guy a lot. But like Redd, he needs to work his tail off because he isn't a premier athlete....if his work ethic is like Redd's, this guy could be a 20ppg guy in the NBA.
