Apparently Randy Moss is now spouting off about how Kerry Collins is a better QB than Culpepper is/was.

    Moss rates Collins over Culpepper

    CHARLEY WALTERS

Randy Moss says his new quarterback with the Oakland Raiders, Kerry Collins, is better overall than his former quarterback, Daunte Culpepper of the Vikings.

Moss, traded by the Vikings to the Raiders this spring, said so during an ESPN "SportsCenter'' interview.

"When it comes to athleticism, Daunte has Kerry beat by a large margin," the controversial wide receiver said. "But Kerry has pocket presence and knows how to read defenses. So Kerry has a slight step over Daunte."

I think Moss should just shut up and play at this point...

This could spark a "biggest mouth" debate between Sapp and Moss.

...Physically, Sapps mouth measures a longer distance from corner to corner; but Randy's seems to have that odor of "foot" in it more often. Sapp seems to have the edge when it comes to sheer volume, but Moss' mouth easily gets him in more trouble...

Why not throw T.O. in for good measure? And maybe Me-Shawn as a dark horse candidate? [IMG]

At least we know that he is "one of them." I guess Norv Turner is saying, "Welcome to the Raiders family foundation of trash talking." And Moss says, "I'm glad to be here," while shaking his hand while both are smoking cigars.

He probably is correct to some degree at least; but if I were K. Collins, I'd be wondering when his mouth was going to turn on me. It's hard to trust a guy who already turned on his previous teammates. That's why gossip and backbiting is a bad idea boys and girls.

Talk about being baited by the media. On top of that, I think they took Moss's quote too far. Read over what he said. All Moss said is that he thinks Collins has a slight step over Culpepper with regards to pocket presence and reading defenses.

What is he going to say to that question? Collins is worse? He has to play with this guy for at least one full season. I really don't think this is a dump on Culpepper by Moss at all.

I completely agree. I don't really think Moss was in the wrong for saying what he did about Culpepper.

Collins cant hold Culpepper's jockstrap. Culpepper is a great QB, he has the pocket presence and accuracy to complete nearly 70% of his passes, and he can run the ball like a RB. Culpepper might be the best QB in the game. Collins wasnt even good enough to be a starter last year, he needed Gannon to get hurt first.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>if I were K. Collins, I'd be wondering when his mouth was going to turn on me.</div>

The first time Jerry Porter catches 8 balls in a game and Moss catches 1 and the Raiders lose the game. That's how long it will take...

After further review, I agree. Moss was baited into answering that question by the media. They're just looking for a "good" story. Vultures.

Daunte's response to Moss's comments... [IMG]

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Daunte Culpepper was asked Tuesday his reaction to ex-teammate Randy Moss' ESPN interview during which the eccentric wide receiver asserted that his new Oakland Raiders teammate Kerry Collins is a better overall quarterback than the Vikings' Pro Bowl QB.

Culpepper smiled quizzically, then shook his head.

"When I first heard that, I figured maybe Randy had fallen and bumped his head to say something that crazy," Culpepper said. "All they've got to do is look at the numbers. I mean no disrespect to Kerry Collins. I understand that (Moss) has to say something good about his quarterback. But he didn't have to say anything that crazy."</div>

That's a great comeback. He was understanding and at the same time giving it right back to Moss. Good one Culpepper.

I see that Y'all are worried... again. Don't we aren't any better than the second best in the league this season. But, wait'll next year! Colins and Moss my make some of you a little nervous. That's good. We have another guy on the other side we want you to ignore.

I agree. But why point that out the WR'a to the Hater's BF1? Freakin' Maroons will never see it anyway.

I happen to think that Collins is in the perfect spot... again. Not a huge offensive day in the Super Bowl for either team in SB XXV, but a really poor showing for Collins. I think that if he gets another chance (that would be his last), he will do somewhat better... (Somewhat) Better would include a win. [IMG]
