Isn't that his break foot? Perhaps he should have used that in his defense. (Sorry VF, couldn't resist.) [IMG]

I've been fighting that off and on since the end of last summer. It just won't go away. I haven't read the article yet, but I imagine he can still play OK. He will just be thinking about it when he is running and making the cut.

Mine is worst in the morning and better later in the day. I assume it gets stretched a little.

He has inserts now that he wears in his shoes. It doesn't solve the problem, it just comforts the foot a bit.

DD, no worries. Its not the worst joke I heard about that whole thing. The worst was:

"Did you hear that Micheal Bennett was in the car with Randy Moss? He tried to get out and run, but tripped as he got out of the car".

This was during the Michael Bennett "I almost broke a big one if that guy didn't lightly touch my foot" era.

That's a tough break for the Vikings. I wonder if they're starting to feel cursed. With Randy's attitude and work ethic, it's about a 50/50 chance he'll pull through and play well in pain.

FV...don't know how I really got it. It just got to hurting more and more as I ran on it and when I was hunting. Sometimes now it is the worst when I get up in the morning. Forgive the technical crap, but ...the plantar originates on the front of the heel and runs lengthwise along the sole of the foot. It's related to the plantar muscles of the foot which curl the toes under and help support the arch of the foot. Now, the arch of the foot is supported primarily by the shape of the bones of the foot - the muscles don't have to do a whole lot to maintain the arch. However, sometimes over time the arch starts to collapse a bit which can cause the plantar fascia to become over stretched. This can often lead to inflammation and pain in the plantar fascia. You really feel it just above your heel cup on the bottom of your foot.

I bought some expensive inserts in my shoe too. I have been wearing them for about a month with only a slight improvement so far.

I would not worry about moss playing with it the whole year. The math is very simple Vikingfan. Moss normally gives 70% effort, but with this injury he will only 80% effective, so tha works out to 56% so all he has to do is give 90 % effort and he will 72% effective meaning he will have a better season than last. Thats right a mere 28% increase in effort will resuly in a 2.7% increase in productivitity despite a loss of 20% of his effectiveness. Dont let mosses injury haunt your dreams, let arizona and that last second TD that kept you out of the postseason do that [IMG]

Besides BF1, I hear 41.3% of statistics are made up anyway [IMG]

And 62.7% of those made up statistics are 34.5% true.

The only thing that is going to haunt my dreams now are statistics and percentages as I try to figure out just how much free time you have on your hands. [IMG]

I actually don't buy the whole "Moss is lazy" thing. He played the last 4 games of the year last year with the problem and did pretty well (minus the Chicago game). He also has participated in every voluntary program the Vikings put on during the offseason, even though the coaches have asked him to not participate because of his foot. In his words he just wanted to practice after sitting on his lazy butt (even though he put on 15 pounds of muscle during the offseason so far).
