most improved team which of the following will be the most improved team in the nba this season? Cleveland Denver San Antonio Los Angeles Lakers Minesotta
Minnesota then LA. The Wolves only have 2 of their starters back in the starting lineup while one of them is their sixth man. All five of their starters are potential all stars. Of course, you can make that same argument with 4 Lakers, but overall it's the Wolves.
i agree wif twolves fan i think if u had to put it in order it would be twolves lakers denver spurs cleveland then mayb nets and magic?
this is a very open ended topic. what are you basing the improvement on? is it wins, is it getting further in the post season, or is it building a team for the future? i am going to base my decision on which team will improve the most in wins. the lakers and twolves upgraded their teams, but both these teams already won 50 games last season. they could improve by 10-15 games, but anymore would be extremely difficult to do. i can't imagine either team winning 70+ games next year. however when i look at teams who can improve by 20+ wins, the raptors stick out. the raptors only won 24 games last season, do mainly to injuries. they played without vince for most of the season, and they had injuries to antonio davis and lamond murray. if they can stay healthy this team is capable of winning 45+ games in the east. this team has underachieved and they should be able to compete with most of the teams who finished ahead of them. milwaukee is not going to win any where near 40+ games and atlanta has not improved in the off-season. miami and indiana are two more teams, who will see less wins, and possiblythe knicks who are taking a step toward rebuilding instead of competing for a playoff spot. we could also see a dip from the hornets since they have a new headcoach and also the wizards, who will have to deal with a lot of personnel and player changes. cleveland and chicago will be stronger next season, but toronto has the talent to become a playoff caliber team again. if they hope to make the playoffs they will need to win 40+ games. i see them improving their home record by 11 games and finishing above .500 at home, and improving their road wins by 9 games, for a total of +20 wins.
i say twolves, lakers, and bulls.. bulls didn't even need to add to their roster to improve. their talent just needs more experience
I think the suns not just because im a suns fan. Amare is older and knows what to expect. Marbury and Marion will again be allstars. JJ had a great summer league and will push penny. Penny a solid player who can average 12 5 5. Zarko will surprise alot of people and he will be awsome and will help right away.
no one has mentioned the Raptors...they had a helluva lot of injuries last season. also, i dont think the lakers will "improve" that much. "improve" means to get better. the lakers were already REALLY good last season so they cannot get that much better. twolves will also improve. so will the bulls, denver, and cleveland.

i think the lakers with their lineup can improve greatly... they got malone and payton, incase u forgot
the wolves will also be improved and perhaps the cavs with the addition of Lebron James. certainly the lakers will be very improved with the additions of Malone and Payont
Improved? How? In terms of wins? Or talent? In terms of talent, the Wolves and Lakers win this. Both had great offseason hauls. The Lakers bringing in Payton and Malone; the Wolves bringing in Cassell, Olowakandi(but losing Rasho), and Sprewell. In terms of wins? Toronto could be the team. They won just 24 games last year. This year, they return a healthy Vince Carter.......this was a team that had won 47 games 2 years ago.(This years team is improved team than that team......more athleticsm and size upfront, and experience). If VC stays healthy, he should be able to propel the Raptors to a 50 win season, much like he did 2 years ago. And that would be the biggest win tournaround this upcoming season.
I believe the Nuggets or the T-Wolves. Probably the Nuggets though. The T-Wolves could have chemistry problems over there cause they're gonna have 4 people who are used to having the ball and, unfortunately for the, there is only one ball.
Youre overating the raptors and everyone said vince was healthy coming into last year. hoping for him to get healthy and lead his team to a good record is like waiting around for grant hill to do it. I think the nuggets are a good prediction in terms of talent AND wins
In talent-T-Wolves (Lakers already had Shaq/Kobe) Record-Nuggets. Phoenix have a good chance to improve a lot to.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting tmac15:</div><div class="quote_post">In talent-T-Wolves (Lakers already had Shaq/Kobe) Record-Nuggets. Phoenix have a good chance to improve a lot to.</div> Nuggets? Guys. This is the West. The Nuggets will still gut brutalized. Yes, they have a great abundance of young talent.......but Nene, Skita, and yes, Carmelo, will struggle this season. Not to mention that the Nuggets defense will be poor. They will lack a true go to guy. Carmelo is the closest thing now. Losing Howard will hurt them(whether or not you realize this). He was their most consistent scorer, rebounder, and player. Carmelo will be brilliant one night, cold as ice the next. Thats how rookies are. Many of you are expecting him to turn this team around...it wont happen this year. Signing Andre gives them a PG. But he has never been known for scoring. So where are the points going to come from? Nene? He has a good defensive game, but his offensive moves are still raw. Skita? He is even more raw. White? He was decent. But hasn't proved to be a capable scorer every night. Carmelo is the closest thing. And relying on a rookie will be tough. I dont think the Nuggets will improve much, if at all, in terms of wins. Denver is going to be a lottery team once again. They will struggle, and their record will be similar to last years.

What was their win total last year? 24 wins. VC's injury cost the Raptors 23 wins(assuming they would have once again be a 47 win team). If he is back to full form for the entire year, the Raptors will be the most improved team in terms of wins. Take a look at the Rockets............they lost Francis........got him back, and Yao........and take a look at their win total....taa-daa Same deal with the Raptors should VC come back.....they'll make a big jump in the win column.
i think carter will have an awesome impact on the raptors but u have to take into consideration that even the games he did play the raps didnt do 2 well. i think the raptors will b a 35-40 win team this year
