Under Rated Drew Gooden - Other than Lebron, is there another reason why the cavs are doing so good? Exit Boozer, Enter Gooden. He avgs 15pts, 10rebs per game, and is 9th in the L in boards per game and 14th in field goal %. The cavs exercised the team option on his contract for '06 where he'll be making 4 mill. Bobby Simmons - This is the first year Simmons has been gettin some serious minutes, and all he has done is delivered. 16ppg 6rpg and 3apg, Simmons is not mentioned by anyone, but is one of the reasons the Clippers might actually....really.....truly........be on the rise.....maybe. Jason Hart - He only gets 22 minutes per game, but makes the most of it. Close to 10ppg, 6apg, #4 in the league in assits per turnover, and #19th in steals per game. I think the cats should give him some serious minutes and see what he can do. Zach Randolph - His numbers have dropped off a bit from last year, but nobody is talking about him. He has been injured, but 19pts and 10rebs per game should get more hoopla. He does have a monster contract 84 million through 2011, but who dosen't these days? Pau Gasol - Everybody knows Gasol is good, but this boy has been averaging more than 18 points and and 8 rebs his whole career. Does play on a team thats viewed as more of a "complete team" than most in the nba, with no stars. He only plays 33 mins a game, up that and see his numbers climb. Brad Miller - What does 16 ppg and 9 rpg get you, a 7 year 67 million dollar contract, but not much else. Sure he gets paid well, but he gets no recognition, he's the 5th option on an offensivly tallented team, still manages 16ppg, and is always a warrior in the paint. Over Rated Keith Van Horn - I've actually been reading posts by Knicks fans saying the departure of KVH is the reason that the Knicks stink. Sure Tim Thomas has been one of the biggest busts in recent memory but KVH is by far the highest-paid Buck, chews up a quarter of the team's payroll and has only chipped in 11.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, when he's been healthy. Van Horn's good, but not great, and he'll be 30 by the start of the 05-06 season. PS HE MAKES $14,487,000. Allan Iverson - I know i'm gonna catch heat for this one. This guy is a pro. He plays hurt, leads his teammates, demands the ball in crunch time.....no wait demands the ball when their down...up.....ALL THE TIME. He already has 1119 field goal attempts, of course leading the league. He shoots a very crappy 41% from the field. This is one of his better years, he is averaging more than 7 assits per game, but he gets way too much credit. He is not a bad player, he's actually very good, but nontheless over rated by many. The Answer? Not if the question is "Hey Allen, can I see the ball for a sec?" Stephon Marbury - Marbury gets traded from the Nets and they reach the NBA Finals twice. He gets traded from the Suns and they've got one of the best records in basketball the next year. Whats going on here? His numbers are pretty good, but i've see this guy go invisible in crunch time way too often. He's a scoring point guard, who isn't that great at taking care of the ball and being a floor general. He's a career loser who has never, ever made a teammate better. SELFISH!
I think topic should be in Out of Bounds, but I will give some oppinions. Most Overrated Stephon Marbury Yao Ming Most Underrated Larry Hughes Pau Gasol
i think Brevin Knight is under-rated. he can dish out as many assists as Nash can. Stephon Marbury is definitly overrated, but not by me.
Overrated: Yao Ming Allen Iverson Stephon Marbury Underrated: Bobby Simmons Brevin Knight (#2 in the league in assists!) Antonio Daniels
AI is not overrated. So what if he demands the ball and shoots alot....who else is going to do it on that team. He's been stuck in Phili where he hasnt had a supporting cast for a long time. He's a competitor, he wants to win and he's unstoppable on offence.
topic First off this should be in out of bounds. Second of all as overrated as stephon is he gets too much flak about teams being better after he leaves. He leaves the nets and kidd comes to Jersey and they improve tremendously. Most people leave out that Kidds first year was the same year that Martin and kittles returned from injury and RJ was drafted. It wasnt just kidd.
Overrated: 1) Adonal Foyle 2) Stephon Marbury 3) Paul Pierce Underrated: 1) Larry Hughes 2) Andrei Kirilenko 3) Nenad Krstic.

stephon is not playin his right position he really is a shooting gaurd they transformed him to a shoot first point gaurd or atleast they tried.iverson is any gaurd u want him to be he is just the complete package in a smaller size he defends scores dishes rebounds and pushes the other team on there heels at alll times he has a huge heart and he is a competitor. i love his game i wish my cavs had a player like him on our team for the lebron to dish too lol

Seriously ..............
How is Marbury over-rated? Nobody is saying he is a great player. Everyone knows that he's not that good of a team player. Just because a player was doing bad doesnt mean hes over-rated. Well actually He over-rates himself and Isiah Thomas does too but besides the two.
