For me it's probably scouts or draft people fretting over a player being too short or not big enough. In my opinion size has never enabled a player from being as good as he wants to be. Lots of your thinner players are going to fill out in the NBA, guys like Durant, Thaddeus and Noah. Most of the guys in this draft are plenty tall enough, but last year there was so much talk about a guy being an inch shorter than his position usually is and I just sat there going, who gives a sh*t?

Yeah, people said Hakim Warrick wouldnt be anything until he got bigger...and he hasnt, but hes turn into a very good player.I think athleticism has a major role in the NBA, but I think its completely stupid to take somebody just because of it.

Thank you, BCB! Some people get so carried away with that stuff. Like Dick Vatale said, "People get so carried away with the track and field stats sometimes, that they forget how well a kid can play basketball." Ryan Gomes slipped to 50th overall for this reason only. He led the Big East in scoring and he can clearly play the game of basketball, but because he's 6'7'' and a half and not 6'9'', teams passed on him. It's ridiculous.

Size is easily one of the most overated. Ryan Gomes, Jason Maxiell, Craig Smith, and Paul Millsap(just to name a few) all dropped in the past two drafts just because of their size.Another overated aspect is how well a player performs in the NCAA Tournament. Guys play over 30 games in the regular season, but it seems scouts throw away that and just focus on 2-3 games that they play in March. If they don't play well in those games, they drop dramatically.
