    indeed, yr's of the lack of complete game SP's, evolving into Mgr's. calling on their BP's, earlier. With some teams using bullpens in more IP, per game; than their SP's....how I miss CG SP's.

    take 70-79 vs the 80's onward. Fergie Jenkins, 5th in Wins- won more games (178), than the leader in Wins from every following decade(s)=

    Greg Maddux- 176
    Pettitte- 148

    even if Max, and Kershaw could win 20 games in each of the next 3 yrs. They too would fall short of Jenkins, at 175 for Max, and 173 for CK. Both more inclined to throw deeper into games, than the others, perhaps.
