Underated - Peja Stojaovich - because even though he's leading the Kings, he doesn't get all the fame
Overated - LeBron James - He's getting to much fame and people think he's averaging like 30 ppg
    Overpaid - Shaq hands down.

Underrated:ye, many of the Kings, especially the Bibby/Jackson duo.

How is Kevin Garnett overpaid? Considering the entire L is based on money and the average salary of an NBA player, to the average salary of All Star.

    Considering the money vs production:

Dikembe Mutombo, over 17 mil, 3rd overall.

Overpaid is definitely Grant Hill, lucky guy is paid for doing nothing. As for overated, it has got to be Carmelo, hands down. He can't even put up any shots he was destined to make. As for underated, there are too many, but I've got to say, Malik Rose for me, that guy is a damn workhorse. Lakers made a mistake letting Madsen go.

Underrated- Sam Cassell(if he doesn't make the all star team, its a fix), Elton brand, Michael Finley, Shawn Marion, Doug Christie....the list goes on and on

Overrated- Lebron(This guy has too much hype right now, he hasn't taken his team anywhere or has done anything, give him time, don't treat him like a superstar....yet)

Overpaid- Hate to say it but Vin Baker, old school favourite is Shawn Kemp after the sonics

Elton Brand is underated? I always thought he kept getting tons of props this year. What about Amare? Isn't he as well? However if I were to say someone who truly is one, it's gotta be Bo Outlaw and Boozer. Probably the two hardest workhorses in the NBA along with the likes or Malik Rose and Mad Max. They're rarely ever given the credit they deserve, they're probably the most fun to watch in my opinion.

To me, Elton Brand is never among the top power fowards mentioned, its usually JO, Duncan and Garnett....I still don't think he gets the love he deserves. Amare has been out most of the year, and I haven't mentioned him because of one thing....he can't pass the ball, which is a pretty important thing when playing in the NBA.

I agree with Boozer but Outlaw is kind of one dimensional to be considered underrated, he's like a poor mans Chris Andersen(not like thats a bad thing, they are both hard workers), I like Malik Rose but this year he doesn't seem to have it together with Pop, hopefully he can work it out

Who is Mad Max? Are you talking about Vernon Maxwell?

Madsen, Jermaine O'Neal, I'm not very fond of him, he's very cocky. Outlaw, yes he is one dimensional, all he can do is defend. He is a very hard worker though. I'll give him that. Boozer is like the hardest worker I've ever seen. I remember someone saying his jersey was always the darkest because he sweated the most.

What do you think about....Desmond Mason, Antonio Daniels and Rashard Lewis?

Madsens first name is Mark though, not Max...I think you are thinking of Mad Dog

Desmond Mason I think is going to be a star in this league in the next couple of years, he needs to develope a better shot from three point land and midrange but he has the ingredients to become a big time player(somewhat reliable shot, Hops, Defense, heart).

Antonio Daniels needs to develope more, I think he has had the time to do that so something tells me that he will just be a solid player, but not a star. We could be talking about him as one of the most underrated players in the next few years but not now, he hasn't shown me enough.

Rashard Lewis- Future superstar..book it. Usually slept on and I can't believe I left him out of my list, one of the most talented players coming up in the west and he will blow up, its just a matter of time, if seattle was in the east they would be a lock for a playoff spot. Another thing.....he's only 24 years old.

    Underatted- Sam Cassell, Eric Snow

Overatted- Well Lebron isnt overatted, but he is over hyped. Saying Lebron is overatted is basically saying that he has no shot to live up to the hype. But he does have a legit shot. its just going to take time. But until then the media should back off a little bit. Which they are starting to do.

Overatted- The Spurs as a team

Overpaid- Any one in the NBA that doesnt take full advantage of the opportunity they were given. And do stupid off court things that hurt the image of the League.

You guys are CRAZY! I hate the LAKERS, but I know Shaq isn't overpaid. Neither is Garnett! Any team in the NBA would love to have those two players. They're way worth what they're paid!

Here are some of my picks....

Overpaid: Allan Houston, Vin Baker, Calvin Booth, Eddie Robinson, Raef LaFrentz, Glenn Robinson, Clarence Weatherspoon... etc.

Underrated: Peja, Michael Redd, Elton Brand, AK47, Brent Barry, Kelvin Cato, Vladimir Radmanovic, Bobby Jackson, Fred Hoiberg, Eric Snow, Desmond Mason, Rashard Lewis, Jim Jackson, Jamal Crawford... etc.

Overrated: Vince Carter, Kobe Bryant, Antoine Walker, Keith Van Horn, Lamar Odom, Robert Horry, Rick Fox, Latrell Sprewell, Eddie Curry, Darius Miles... etc.

Elton Brand is the most under rated player in the leauge, this guy is great. He missed 6 weeks earlier this season with a brooken foot, but since his return, he's been great. Behind Shaq, this guy is the 2nd best center is the west.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting yangyang42:</div><div class="quote_post">Lamar Odom</div>

How is Lamar Odom overrated? He is the Heat's franchise player. In the last three games, Odom has averaged more points, rebounds, and assists than anyone else on the Heat. With Odom the Heat have someone they can count on to get near twenty points, fifteen rebounds, and five assists every night as of late.
