I've been quite curious about this. I want to switch back to Verizon (all of my family is on their network) and that phone almost has me convinced. I also like the looks of the HTC Droid Eris.

My friend just got one and swears by it. A lot of great features on the phone, but Apple will probably come out with a topper.

I'm not kidding. The best phone I've ever owned is a Nokia I bought about nine years ago. The thing is small, can get calls here or in Europe and is bulletproof. They now build phones that fall apart after a couple of years. I have a Sanyo Katana right now that is the suckiest suck that ever sucked. I've been resisting a crackberry for the past few years, but I think that will have to be my next phone.

I got tired of the whole smart-phone thing when my Treo died a couple of years ago, so I went back to a simple Samsung free phone I got years ago. It is tiny, voice quality is good. It will never break.

My wife has the iPhone 3G and I like it, from a functionality stand point, but I do not want to carry such a big phone anymore.

I got the Eris which is the HTC cheaper version. The main difference is no slide out keyboard and does not run the most updated version of android. I like it, but I am still learning to love it.

I played with one a few times at the Verizon store and really couldn't get into it as much as my inner geek wanted to. Felt clunky, the slider function is odd and the keyboard was way too mushy.

If you're in the market, I'd probably suggest to wait for the HTC Passion/Dragon to come out. That one is rumored to be the true Google phone to come out.
