Sparta native Troy Murphy was supposed to make his Nets’ preseason debut Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers, but the power forward is out indefinitely after suffering a lower back injury. Murphy underwent an MRI today that confirmed a low back strain/inflammation. He will not accompany the Nets on their upcoming trip to Russia and China, where they will play two preseason games.
