Ricky Sapp is a man possessed. He's a true Freshman and I literally watched him spin off the Kentucky Left Tackle, then push through the block by the left guard, then push over the RB trying to block him to make a sack.Ricky Sapp compared to Gaines Adams is like Julius Peppers compared to Terrell Suggs. Suggs is still good of course, but he's just not in Peppers' class.Oh, and Andre Woodson looks great so far, btw. He is 7 for 9 and both his incompletions were balls thrown away due to pressure.
Oh, and Clemson has missed two field goals and an extra point. What is it with the Bowden family and not being able to have a decent kicking game?
11 for 13, just through a perfect pass for a TD over the top of Clemson defenders. Both incompletes were passes intentionally thrown away.Andre Woodson = 2008 top 5 pick at this rate.
Halftime.Andre Woodson:13 for 17190 Yards1 TD0 INT4 Sacks2 Passes Thrown Away (Hurries)On the last offensive play before half, Ricky Sapp was about to sack Andre Woodson from behind, the Right Tackle held him (terrible no call, he essentially tackled him from behind) but the pressure was enough to force Andre to dump the ball off short and Kentucky had to settle for a field goal attempt, which they missed.Ricky Sapp and Andre Woodson are the stars in this game's first half.
Woodson's playing well, but it IS Clemson he's beating. Not exactly the best test of a QB's abilities.

Kentucky has now only lost once when Woodson has thrown 3+ TD passes. And in all of their losses this year, he threw 1 or less TD passes. He's pretty much their whole offense, though they're running game looked pretty good this game (at least towards the end).

He had a 90.25 QB Rating (NFL QB Rating) against the cream of the crop. I'll take that.3rd.It's the dirty little secret that most of a player's great stats (in any sport) are against the worst opponants. IE in baseball David Ortiz hit 45 of his 54 home runs vs the 4th and 5th starters or middle relievers. Not the top of the rotation.
