SWIL is now on Apple music for any of you that have it and want to give it a listen.

    https://music.apple.com/us/artist/swil/1687395343

For those of you tired of politics, the song "No Polidiques" is for you.

For those into politics and equality, the song "World's On Fire" is for you.

Lots of different sounds and styles. Most will likely like the ballad "Family" the most.

    If you like, please add/follow.

    Thanks in advance for listening!

I should add, another old school member of this forum, Dviss, is featured in the song " With a Left Hook" Listen to the whole track. His impact on me was huge and felt he needed to be heard for his political prowess and the struggles of his people needed a voice.

UCD....didnt you grow up near 50th & Powell? Remember the The Speck and that small hamburger stand next to it on the corner of foster & 52nd. I ran around with friends from that area (Franklin back in the 60's).

I grew up on 49th and Bush, and could see the revolving chicken bucket from my bedroom window. But I don't remember the hamburger joint (though I do remember the old 6 seat hamburger joint at the curve of SE Division, a block east of Sckavone's, next to the old coffin factory)). Do you have the name? I also remember Hub Outfitters and Baxter Auto Parts, just across Foster from the Speck. My sister in law (12 years older) would drive in from Oregon City almost weekly to eat at the Speck (and Yaw's) That's how popular it was. Nike's first out post was across the street from the Speck, next to the Pink Bucket Saloon. We were always told to stay away from the Speck because of "hoodlums, drugs and hot rods", which was generally bullshit (except for the hot rods). But the cautionary tales just made it all the more alluring......

I worked at Toms Gulf Station while in HS part time. I'll try and find a name it was there before The Speck right of the corner, walk up cheap burgers. Their computer was down Powell, The Whiz Burger 19 cent burgers. I lived with some friends behind Day Music on Center street for two years.
Spend time in the Bucket playing pool and foosball.

They left part of this Barts Burgers walk in, right on corner. It was there I know late 60's while The Speck was there and eventually tore it down.
