I woke up this morning and went outside to drive my son to school, to find my car was stolen. Mother fuckers man! What a great way to start my day. Here's whats happening in your neck of the woods.
Damn man that sucks!! What area do you live in? What kind of car? Alarm on your car? Where do you park, street driveway? That's the worst man.
A 92 Camry, so not a new car but still. 28th and Powell. no alarm. Was locked though. I park in a parking lot behind my apartment.
Odd that such an old car was the target (I also drive an old car). Did you have anything nice in it (stereo, etc)? Fuck whoever did this.
Totally sucks, but if that helps... It happened to a neighbor, same kind of deal, older unremarkable car. Two days later it was found parked some miles away, tank empty, all personal gewgaws gone, but unharmed. Police told her that people steal these kind of anonymous cars for drug runs. Use them just one or two times, then abandon. They take off personal gewgaws because they want them to look as anonymous and impersonal as possible, so if anyone sees them all they can say is "blue Corolla" or something, and even if a bystander gets a license plate number the vehicle turns out to belong to some innocent person. So, hopefully, something like that, not cool having your car used that way but it least she got it back with no real harm. Best to you. Be sure to file police report.
Well I don't have to tell you you have 2 strikes against you right off the bat.......Camrys are usually the top car stolen every year with Accords.... that and your hood is pretty well known for that type of activity. Back in the day I used to live over there and that shit happened all the time. Damn, good luck to you. Sucks because with older cars, insurance companies are pieces of shit and won't give that car anywhere as much value as you believe it has. Camrys are dependable as hell and will go forever, but they don't care about that. Hope it comes back in good shape bro.
Kind of makes sense for an old car like this - but it sure does suck in a case like this. Hope it is recovered at some point.
Nope. Nothing signifigant. Stranger yet, a neighbor has a nearly indentical camry with a broken window and it didnt get stolen. They had to pick my locks.
