Things look bad in Wizard land..This is what I would like to see this offseason. Players gone Jerry Stackhouse Christian Laettner Etan Thomas Juan Dixon Jerry Stackhouse is a cancer to the team, he has moved to the 6th man role and still is turning the ball over way too much, He jacks up uneccisary shots, doesnt look to pass, he hurts more than helps. Christian Laettner is horrible now, when he gets out on the court he looks stoned every game, he plays with no enthusiasm, no heart, he is dead. He takes way to much cap room. Etan THomas would be nice to keep as a 6th man, but he too will also ask for too much money, he is a RFA and most likely wont be resigned because he will sign somewhere else for too much money, and Juan Dixon's minutes have gone down, his playing has gone down, he doesnt look good anymore, he jacks up too many shots. Draft I would hope that we get anywhere from the 5-7 pick in the draft and trade that pick along with Laettner or Stack for a SF who can hit the three, or post up like Indiana's Al Harrington, there is no secret he wants to start, and on Washington he would. We could also go after Rashard Lewis who can hit the outside J and drive. FAs Sign a Defensive minded SF to back up the SF we hopefully acquire in a trade, draft a back up center. Ideal Starting Lineup PG-Arenas SG-Hughes SF-Harrington or Lewis PF-Kwame C-Brendan Who to build around Kwame, some of yall might think I am being Biased, but when Kwame is in teh game the Wizards win, when he isnt giving the ball, they struggle..Arenas has shown so many signs of being a superstar and then he goes back to his level of play, his young mistakes of taking to many shots and TOs. Make Kwame the number one option and make Gilly the 2 but go to him in the clutch, SF and Hughes the third option, Haywood the 4th or 5th That is ideally, I honeslty think we will try to acquire Harrington though
The wizards shouldn't give up Juan Dixon. He has been a great addition to the team, averaging 9.6 points in his second year and he is capable of scoring 40 in his prime.
No he isnt, he is just a spark plug, that is it...he isnt starter material...when he was a starter for us he fell off soo bad
I would also like to see Eddie Jordan fired, he is like Steve Spurrier, his offense does nto work...We should try to go after Doc Rivers
You gotta keep Juan Dixon, he means as much as Darrell Armstrong to a team. They both give 110% on every play. You have a really good team, your major concern is just resting everyone in the offseason and trying to get everyone healthy at the same time.
I like you plans, but I also don't really want to see Juan go, but if he does, ah well. I say we look at Rodney White, Rasual Butler, Dan Gadzuric, and Marquis Daniels, more Rodney White and Butler, we don't need a 2 guard (Hughes), and we don't really need a center, but Gadzuric is so fast that he would be great if we wanna run the break a lot. I don't know if Haywood is the greatest starting center, but he's workable.
Player Predictions: PG- Gilbert Arenas.Gilly has superstar potential, he has recorded 3 Triple Doubles I believe this year, he can pass, rebound and score, he just needs to cut down on the stupid shots and the TOs. He needs to look to pass to the post more and take over in teh clutch, he is excellent at driving to the hoop also. He sometimes let his emotions get the best of him, if he can calm down, cut down the TOs and take smarter shots, he will be an allstar. SG- Larry Hughes. Larry Hughes makes our offense flow, we saw how horrible we were when he went down with the injury, he is capable of dropping 20+ on any nihgt. He can hit the outside shot, and can also drive the lane. He is critical to the success of our offense and I wouldnt mind him taking some games over SF- Our weekest spot. If we trade for Al Harrington we get a SF capable of posting up his defenders, he also has a little bit of range. If we trade for Rashard Lewis, we get a some what inconsistent SF who can hit the 3 and drive, I think he would flourish here in Washington. If we keep Stackhouse, that is going to hurt more than help, he shoots too much, has to many TOs, and that is just coming off the bench, imagine him as a starter? PF- Kwame Brown. He shut up his critics this year I believe. He showed that he can play consitent, after dropping 30 and 19 on the Kings his play went down though due to a sprained ankle..he has averaged 11 and 7 this year, and I expect atleast 15 and 9 next year, He has so many post moves he has added and has shown a consitency in his jumper the last couple of games, he gets up for the Elite PFs in the league(Brand, O'neal, and Webber). C- Brendan Haywood. He has developed a nice turn around Jumper and gives 100% every time out on the court, he is a decent Center and the Wizards can work with him. Cch- I would love to see Eddie Jordan get fired. His Princeton offense is non-existent in the NBA, and he makes horrible coaching decision in teh 4th quarter, he has blown more games for us than the actual players have. I would love to hire Doc Rivers or Byron Scott. Stats Arenas: 22ppg, 6 apg, and 5rpg Hughes: 18ppg, 4 apg, and 5 rpg Harrington/Lewis/Stack: 17ppg, 4apg, and 6 rpg Kwame: 15ppg, 9 rpg, and 2 apg Brendand: 9 ppg, 8rpg, and .5 apg Coach: Doc Rivers  I think with that lineup we can get into the 8th seed or 7th seed in teh East, You guys dont understand how much I want Stackhouse out of DC, I would love to get Kirilenko but I doubt Utah would trade him.
I think I understand how much you want Stack out because I was angry the first minute he stepped in Washington, yea he's not a bad player but look at Detroit's success when Rip came. Stack shoots too much and is a low percentage shooter, horrible rebounder and defender, and cannot produce in crunch tie yet still takes the shots.
How about this trade, I was playing around with the Realgm trade checker: Washington Trades: Jerry Stackhouse, Juan Dixon Washington Receives: Al Harrington, Primoz Brezec Indiana Trades: Al Harrington, Primoz Brezec Washington Receives: Jerry Stackhouse, Juan Dixon It worked, and I think both teams MIGHT do it, I know Washington would, but Indiana might not want Stack.
I wouldn't want to give up Dixon, he may be small, just like TJ Ford but I believe he can still pull it off, true he's not Boykins but with proper support he can do it. Just look at the backcourt combination of him and Blake. Stack I would rid ourselves of, he's virtually our Steve Francis, someone good, but bad at the same time, he'd be able to net you some awesome players, except a lot of the good teams with good players already have the scoring ballhogs they need. You'd probably only be able to bribe the likes of the Celtics and Magic, and well they don't have jack crap right now unless you could get Hunter off the Magic's hands.
Yea, no one really want's Stack, he was never a superstar in my eyes, 6'6 G-F and your career rebound average is 3.7 rebounds, you're highest year was 4.1 rebounds per game. Always been a low % shooter too with his career 40.9% FG. He's a decent/good passer, not a good defender, can't rebound, can't shoot, and is selfish.
hey kobe 8 ball----well written..and it looks like most of ur wishes came true..got rid of half them players..(etan prolly still will go..to boston)..and we got a SF like u wanted(not harrington or lewis)but Jamison is defiently as good--i think better then them. i think wih a person like you--me and you could run the wizards...but im keepin dixon for the fans, brotha
