Due to a pretty frustrating situation in basketball right now, and alot of other things, I'm starting to like basketball alot less. I'm definitely being more sociable now, and I'm really into music at the moment. I'm starting to miss a lot of Cs games, which I would normally hate, but I'm okay with it now. I'll still post here often, but I probably won't be on AS much as before. just letting everyone know.
Ok KMart Jr. Basketball is really boring me this season as well...I'm definitely not as interested in it as last season which is dissapointing...maybe I'm growing out of it...I'm getting more and more interested in the NFL in all honesty. :no1:
It's the opposite for me. When I was in 7th grade I was obsessed with the NBA, knew everybody's stats, watched every game. But then in 8th and 9th grade I completely forgot about it, but now this year I'm starting to love it again.
same here..im sick of having a losing hometown team..the most exciting thing for me was when the team made it to the eastern conference finals..they havent even been to the finals in my lifetime..its starting to really piss me off..id prefer going to my friends house any day over watching a celtics game..I mean this year they aren't even exciting...they played scalabrine 15 minutes and played Leon Powe 19 seconds..Doc Rivers is turning me off from the C's
David Stern needs to make some outragous rules or something...like bring back shorts from the olden days and ban short socks.

It's because the NBA, as a league, is terrible and I've noticed that some of the new rules have slowed the game down and I've seen so many 'slippery ball' turnovers it pisses me off. There is more and more talent coming but the beginning of the season just isn't even close to the excitement the end of the football season's generate, or if you have a good team, the college basketball season does. The only reason I've watched the NBA these past few years is because of the Suns and sports are what I love. If ASU had a good basketball team I probably would miss plenty of NBA games...
The NBA is just boring right now...nothing is going on...the games don't matter because their are no rivalries.
Ah, I went through this stage for a while last season."Uhmp, 82 game, 30 teams, I can miss a few of them. Hell, they arent even entertaining anymore". Thats what I was saying for a while last season. About 4 games into my "dont care about bball anymore" it came back. You'll be fine, and there are rivalries, but its like 10 games into the season guys, of course its not going to be THAT interesting. But most likely, you will become interested in it again.

Then I'll croak... next season: the Celtics win. EDIT: dogma, so do I officially have all the game threads now? lol

I don't ever see myself becoming not interested in the NBA. If you want to get interested again study some old school stuff, Track down some classic games.

I was a fan before but id rarely watch and sh*t. but the last 2 years have been the 2 best years of my life and ive watched just about every celtics game with the exception of maybe like 10 or something, a small number. games dont end late at all. ill go to friends houses and watch them then go out after the game. we'll watch it at my house, go out after, we all make a good time out of it. thankfully one of my best friends is a huge celtics fan. granted he has the bball iq of a cucumber, he still loves watching the celtics.
I have gone through some of the same things. I have started, recently, liking college sports a whole lot more than the NBA (I like the NFL but I don't watch a lot of games). I have also started playing football alot more than basketball, I haven't played a basketball game with friends in months, we only really play football now. So I know what you mean.
