It was 2 days after it's release that I went to my local gamestop and bought it. I couldn't wait until I get to play once I got hope and I sure did. I wanted to see the rosters and I've noticed that Ty Law was still a FA and wasn't on the Jets. Other than that I started my Superstar. I didn't know what to do so I was a RB. I was eventually drafted by the Falcons in the third round and was fighting for the starting spot against Warrick Dunn. I was an overall 88. I had a tendency of speed running. Speed 94, Acceleration 97, Agility 95, and Break Tackle 81. So after doing a couple of interviews and a movie I was in the preaseason and to the season and playoffs and won Offensive Rookie of the year, etc. I am currently overall 97 and is a starter for the Falcons and is 2 years pro.

Graphics: Even though I bought this game for Xbox I am impressed that the graphics have been upgraded slightly. It's a little sharper that the previous versions. 9.5

Sound: I enojoy adding soundtracks from Sam Spence and really gets me into the mood of playing football in real life for some reason. Same commentary so I've changed it to Player Chatter. 8

Gameplay: The thing that I like was the new tackling techniques and the cornerbacks aren't like magnets when you try to tackle. Now you can easily break tackles. But I wonder why there isn't a EA Sports Bio. 9

Features: Vision cone is the thing that I love to use. Especially in Mini Camp. Even though it took me a while to get adjusted to it but I have learned to love it especially when I use the custom hot routes to my liking. Truck stick is pretty fun except when I tried to use it on Ray Lewis with Warrick Dunn in preaseason week 1 as an experiment, it resulted in a defensive TD. 10

Replay Value: No need to say anything besides YES! 9

Overall Score:9.2 No one would refuse to look at any other football game especially when this is the only one in the market for the 05/06 season.

And another thing you guys may be wondering, I am using All-Pro difficulty.

i made a superstar and its parents were a HOF RB dad and a sprinter mom. I started out as a 90 and drafted by the Bears i'm starting over Benson. So far the Bears are 3-0 and Cosmo Kramer (my guy) has 430 yards and 4 TDs

i have it for gamecube(sadly) but i love this. i play it on all star as well. i love the passing cone way too much and i love to go deep with TO, defenses never stand a chance, of course when i play MM i get my ass kicked, not fair.

I would and do refuse to play Madden. I used to absolutely love Madden, that is until my friend got me hooked on ESPN. That is years ahead of Madden and is a far superior game. I started playing that about a year ago and have yet to play Madden since. ESPN is the best football game I have ever played. If you have played it and hate it, its because you havnt played it enough. For about the first 5 games I played it I thought it was just alright. But once you learn everything there is to know about it, youll love it.
Ive played it for about 130 hours now since I got it and I still see tackles and catches and jukes that Ive never seen before. I also hear new phrases by the commentators every time I play that game. It is lightyears ahead of its time and I highly, and I mean HIGHLY recommend getting that game if you havnt already.

Well haha I've played the newest ESPN which is last years version to say the least and the commentry is horrible. It's always a play behind if you play at a fast pace style like me and my friends do at least. Example I throw the ball to Moss he makes the catch. Go no Huddle run with Bennet the commentator says and Moss with the catch! ESPN is a way easier game to learn than Madden but if your more of a competive football gamer then Madden is the way to go. Also in franchises on ESPN players will retire way before their time. Yea Ricky Williams did but I mean Culpepper retired at age 29 for me and Moss at age 30. Talk about a killer. Plus you can break tackles with any RB in the game! ESPN is an easy game to pick up and play but isn't nearly as lightyears ahead of any sports game or anyother game for that fact...... Plus you recommand picking it up. Yea but how much fun is it gonna be to play with last years roster. Moss is still a Viking. Coles is still a Skin. No Braylon Edwards. The updated roster on Madden and online play and deep franchise makes Madden the better buy. If you want an easy game to learn then ESPN is the way to go but it's no where near as deep as Madden 2006. About the same as Madden 2005.

ESPN is definetly the better buy, I mean it's only $20. But what is the better game is a different story. I've played both very extensively and I was convinced ESPN's gameplay was better than Maddens's(the franchise mode is no contest, ESPN's is terrible other than being able to structure contracts). Now, there is no contest between the two. Madden has totally blown ESPN out of the water when it comes to gameplay. Truck stick has balanced out the hit stick, and the QB vision is probably the best thing to come to Football games in a long time. Plus, now that Madden has bought the player's names, ESPN stands little chance of competing.

ESPN is gonna fall apart, now that Madden has a monopoly on the nfl games

Well since Madden is the only Pro Football Game it doesn't really matter. ESPN can't make another one until the contract expires which I think is like 2009.
