Last week at the school office debates, one guy, an awful public speaker running for school president, promised to "start new academies out of our high school such as a cooking school and a carpentry school for black and latino students who, as we all know, cannot succeed in academia".I thought this guy was a joke, but I actually voted for him because he won the Model UN presidency over me and I thought maybe there was a chance he'd relinquish it if he was the school president, due to too much responsibility. I also thought there was realistically no chance he'd win and school presidents have no power anyway.Well he wonI don't know whether to be amused or horrified. Maybe he'll come for the jews next

Shouldn't the teachers do something about this mini-hitler?</div>They should. Especially considering that our Principal and lead councilor are both retiring after this year so there'll be a lot more power open to a school president than normal. I'm just shocked that he said this speech in front of the entire school and still got elected. And it wasn't just a little part of his speech, it was the first thing he mentioned and the focal point of his campaign.
