The running backs are without a doubt going to be the worst group on the offense. that could mean a good or bad thing

I think the only stud we have is westbrook who showed 2 IMPORTant things last season

    1: HEs an explosive player
    2: Hes injury prone

This guy is one of the fastest players in the leauge, and hes also one of the smallest. hes not small weight wise, hes short but bulky and thats muscle. all his life hes been a great tackle breaker as he made so many plays afer the first hit this year. all in all i give him a B. i would expect 40-50 catches for about 400 yards and 800 yards rushing with 10-15 total TDs

Correll Buckhalter WAS compared to having a running style that marshall faulk had in his prime. the Buck tore his knee up took a year and a half off and started the year slow last year but he got alot better as the year went on. I think that he will be ALOT better this year simply because when players come off a knee injury their first year back isnt great, but they have a great 2nd year off the injury. i can expect about 500-600 yards rushing and over 4.8 YPC.

Thomas Tapeah-A very strong RB/FB that i expect to be a good blocker and a 3 and 1 back, hes is sooo powerful and strong. very strong legs and i hope he gets carries because i love power runners. i expect 100-200 yards and 5 TDs

Jon Ritchie- a very underated FB, hes amazing at blocking and just kills defenders with the way he launches himself in a block. i love his blocking, but he doesnt have any carrying skills(like 2 carries in last 4 years) and hes a below average recciever. GREAT BLOCKER

    Overall Grade-C+

There is a report by a philly radio station out right now saying philly is going to try and get eddie george after the titans cut him. They say he is from philly and said he would like to play there if he is cut, which is 99.9% a certainty. Have you heard anything about it? Do you think he would be a good player for philly to take a chance on at this stage of his career? I was hoping the 'Boys might take a look at him but I guess if philly IS after him he must have more left in the tank than I thought. I just don't see where you guys really need another RB though, not like we do anyway.
Well, if you hear anything let us know. Later.....

I have heard nothing about this. I dunno about Eddie George. To me at this point of his career he's worse then Duce was, and I am not sure if he will be Ok with the number of carries. Of course, if he does want to come home and win a Super Bowl (ala Carl Malone and The Glove) maybe he will take less money and carries to do that.

theres talk and rumors. but its common sense if the eagles wanted a old RB they would keep duce.

i know his nephew by the way, goes to my school

Duece wanted to much money didnt he? I didnt think it was his age why he left. If eddie george would play for cheap you dont think maybe they get him as a security blanket for buckhalter or westbrook. I mean it seems each time you guys make a run at a championship there are major injuries that make it more difficult and if the running game suffers then TO wont be as effective either. If buckhalters knee pops again then there would be a pretty cheap replacement and he wants to play in philly cause its his hometown and I bet he retires next year anyway. Getting rid of duce was a mistake anyway IMO. Later

The reason why Duce left is not the money or Age. It was the number of carries, Eagles are not and never prolly will be a team that will run the ball enough to make Duce happy. Andy Reid is a pass-first guy, but I guess you can't argue with results. A Super Bowl would be nice, but good none-the-less.

I agree with you Tuna, I would have gone out of my way to keep him. Infact, of all the Free-Agents we lost, I think the loss of Duce will hurt the most. Getting Eddie would soften the blow, the question is whether the Titans acctually cut him, and how much would he want. I dont think they will pay much more the the minimum for him. We'll see.
