HAHAHA thats the best one I have heard in a long while. Dont let her see this though it would be heartbreaking for a child trying hard.
She is getting better each day. She?s been playing since the start of the school year. In September the noises were reminiscent of a dying goose, so we?ve upgraded from there. She practices really hard; learning Jingle Bells and such for her school?s upcoming Christmas gig.At least now it is starting to sound like something. A few weeks ago I introduced her to Coltrane. Thought maybe I could tune her ears into some great jazz and show her what a horn in the hands of a great player could do, you know maybe get her excited about playing? sh*t no, she told me that music sucked.Damn stoned donkeys.

One time I tried to learn how to play the guitar, I took lessons and everything. I didn't get pass the strumming part of the lessons, I was on that for like three weeks and then I quit I think, or the teacher told me I sucked and made me quit, I can't remember which. The only thing I play now is the on/off button on my radio. I am pretty good. I can also adjust the Bass perfectly, I make good toast too.
Ive been playing Tenor Saxophone for about 3yrs(since 7th grade). Yeah its going to sound like that at first, but when she gets used to the reed and she has a couple broken in, it will sound better. The reed is like a basketball, its kindve gotta be worn a bit to sound good. If she sticks with it, she will sound better and clearer. Very fun instrument and it helps with alotve other instuments(of she gets good enough, she can go from soprano to tenor saxophones). I suggest you encourage her to keep it up cause its a very nice talent to have, and if she gets good enough, major scholarships can come outve it. What brand of saxophone does she have?
Do you at least lie to her that she is doing something good? I understand she is getting better, but it still annoys you. Just make sure you don't break her heart by telling her that she sucks.
Everybody starts out like that, she probably doesn't SUCK, shes just new at it. Its one of the hardest thing I have ever had to learn.
What brand is it? It?s gold that?s all I know.We always provide the kid?s with encouragement, so of course I wouldn?t tell her that she sucks. I?m really into music, so I enjoy hearing her learning to play. I wouldn't say it's annoying, just odd to hear all the ? Jingle bells, jingle HONK, HONK HONK all the way. If it was annoying she we would make her practice in her bedroom but most nights she plays in the family room. I?ll be 33 in February.

Just wait till she starts hating the sax and you went through this for naught.
