I had to watch the end of the Cavs-Magic game. It looks as though the chosen one will have to wait another year. Maybe on the Knicks? Nets?.

The New York Yankees beat the Cleveland Indians by a score of 10-5. Starting for the Yankees was C.C. Sabathia and he got the win.

Another Yankees’ win and another Red Sox loss and the Yankees are starting to use their rear view mirror.

Through the first four innings, Sabathia had great stuff. He had an outstanding slider, a good change up, and had good action down and away. The right-handed batters were having a hard time with his change up away which was 80 mph and that was complimented by a 95 mph fastball. He was covering a lot of different zones with a lot of different speeds. All three pitches were working and his location was good.

Sabathia didn’t establish a certain pattern. He was changing it up.

He had a no hitter going into the fifth inning and finally gave up a hit and started pitching out of the stretch. He then had an emotional let down and the Indians started hitting his change up and scored two runs. He was also challenging batters with his fastball because he got a big lead and that is why the Indians scored some runs off of CC. His velocity wasn’t as good as the first four innings and he had bad location. It seemed that Sabathia became unfocused because of the large lead the Yankees had.

He made it through the seventh inning however and got the win.

Overall, it was a solid outing by C.C. Sabathia.

The entire team is hitting well. Up and down the line up there are hitting streaks and the defense is playing extremely well. I have a feeling the Yankees will break the record for most games without an error.

After Swisher hit a home run, he became anxious at the plate and was trying to pull the ball too much.

Jose Veras is struggling but he won’t be sent down to the minors because he has no more options and the Yankees like the fact that he throws 95-96 mph. Last year, Veras was very impressive and could of had the eighth inning role this year but he’s not attacking batters and he is erratic.

Player of the Game: C.C. Sabathia. Sure he had a little bit of a let down but he got the job done.
