Gallas: My Winning Goal Was A Stroke Of Luck

QUOTE

Arsenal defender William Gallas refused to hail his matchwinning goal against Chelsea as anything approaching a master-strike, but he's no less happy with it for that...
Former Chelsea stopper William Gallas (pictured) returned to haunt his former club at the Emirates as he popped up to score the winning goal in a close-fought encounter. After the match, the French international told Sky Sports that luck played its part in what was a vital goal for his side. "I was really surprised to see the ball come onto my head but sometimes you have to be lucky," he smiled. "Today I was a little bit lucky as Petr [Cech] is usually a good, good goalkeeper." It was Cech's missed interception that gave Gallas the chance to score and, even though the 30-year-old is more than pleased with the goal, he's more excited about the result. "It is more important to win and I feel the boys did need to win today against a good team," he continued. "Everybody knows Chelsea are very strong. "We know we now have six points [more than Chelsea] and that is very important." Arsenal are one point ahead of Manchester United at the top of the league.

It wasn't luck. It was one of the worst Goalkeeping errors this season. Close to Lehmann's lol.
But we beat Chelski anyway so Yay.
