Napoli 2-1 Fiorentina

Fiorentina went down 2 – 1 to the Azzurri of Napoli in front of a reduced amount of fans that were present at the San Paolo stadium to secure all three points in a bad-tempered encounter.

Napoli welcomed Fiorentina to the San Paolo stadium in an encounter between two of the up and coming sides in Serie A. Due to the violence of the Napoli fans in last rounds Roma match, the Azzurri have been heavily punished, with two stands (Curva A and Curva B) closed for the next three home matches, while their fans have been banned from travelling to their club’s away matches. The emptier stadium was not evident early on however; as the Partenopei fans made sure they spurred their side on to win the match.
