Rinne had 17 saves on 18 shots including two where he had to slide across his crease to negate open-net scoring chances before an announced Bridgestone Arena crowd of 14,627. In the first period, Rinne made a tough save with his body on Drayson Bowman when he moved from the left post to the right. In the second period Rinne made a similar save on defenseman Brett Carson.
