Nate and Miller have their doubts. Heres a few quotes from Quicks piece. http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2011/01/suns_115_blazers_111_aldridge.html McMillan, who this season has weathered serious injuries to two of the franchise pillars, didn't give his normal company-line response to whether his team is equipped to make the postseason. "I think it's going to be tough," McMillan said. "Yeah, I think we can make it if we play, you know, great basketball. But I mean, we've been hovering around .500 all season." And now Miller.... "Lot of ups, lot of downs," Andre Miller said. "Right now, the season could be a lot worse, and it could be a lot better." "You look at us statistically, we need shooters and we need rebounding," Miller said. "But the most important thing is putting up points. We are only scoring 94, 95 points a game, and it's hard to win in this league when you score like that."
So? We lost Roy and we lost Oden. Joel is still ineffective due to injury. It's common sense our scoring, defense and rebounding would take a hit. Anyone with an IQ over 15 would know that. So now we're also supposed to believe the team can snap it's fingers and bring in all-star players for scrubs? I mean, that's essentially what idiot threads like this lead to. I'm sorry, Mixum, but Miami isn't trading D-Wade for Miller. Now, on a more serious note, I do suppose we might be able to trade some of our talent for similar talent that may bring a better chemistry, but that's guess work. We might guess right or we might guess wrong. So let's all stop drinking the kool aid about a title anytime soon and concentrate on making realistic improvements that we can make to keep us in the playoffs and go from there. It's a process for a small market team like this. One step at a time.
