@ufc more weight classes ASAP ?? 163,178,193 More super fights more champion vs champion ,closer to weight better fights more potential ...

With the UFC's roster reaching over 500 fighters, what do you think, more weight classes makes it more or less competitive? Nate is suggesting adding three more.

    125, 135, 145, 155, 163, 170, 178, 185, 193, 205, 265

A more natural incline would be...

    115, 125, 135, 145, 155, 165, 175, 185, 195, 205, 265

Boxing has 17 weight classes but obviously they have what, 20x the number of competitors? BoxRec has over 1000 heavyweights ranked in their database.

More weight classes would result in more "high stakes" fights. Certainly worth considering.

    Who would the champs be?

    115 Demetrious Johnson
    125 Joe Benavidez
    135 Dominick Cruz
    145 Jose Aldo
    155 Benson Henderson
    165 Georges St-Pierre
    175 Rory MacDonald
    185 Anderson Silva
    195 Mauricio Rua
    205 Jon Jones
    265 Cain Velasquez

Demetrious Johnson fought at 135 but is still probably the shortest fighter at 125. He's a good candidate for the eventual strawweight/minimumweight division. Rory MacDonald is a big welterweight who would fit well between 170 and 185. GSP recently said that a cut to lightweight for him would be possible since he cuts only about 20-lbs (10-lbs or less after a full camp) to make 170 so another five pounds sounds possible. Machida or Rua could both make 195, tilt to Rua who has the recent win over The Dragon.

Hendo would probably be ideal for a 195 lb class if he wasn't 41

Depends what Rashad shows up. It really seems like Rashad's heart is completely out of it since he divorced his wife and Jones beat him down. If the Rashad that showed up to fight Lil Nog shows up against Hendo, we're gonna see a sequel to the Shad face made famous by Lyoto. If Rashad implements his wrestling he should be able to grind out a decision. I don't think Hendo can stop all of the TD's, especially if his knee is still acting up.
