Roy isn't going to play against the Kings, they said that before this game. He isn't going to play on the 2nd night of a back to back.
What sucks is that two of our best players play the same position. Actually, right now, I'd probably with this lineup Miller Matthews Batum Wallace Aldridge
This Roy sucks and hurts the team far more than he helps it. Shut him down and hope to God there is another Allan Houston clause in the new CBA
Roy isn't starting anytime soon, for many reasons. 1) He's not in game shape yet. 2) Nobody knows how long his knees will hold up, and once you make that move it could be damaging to the psyche of a guy like Wesley. If Brandon starts, Wesley goes back to the bench. If Brandon has to shut it down again, oh by the way - you're starting again Wesley? Not real fair. Now if Brandon proves he can stay healthy and starts playing at a high level, that's a different story. But if he's handed his starting job back w/o proving he can stay healthy and play well consistently - not fair to Wesley and the rest of the team. 3) Wesley Matthews is a better all around player AT THIS TIME 4) Roy has to prove he can impact the game in a positive way consistently. Since he's been back they are 1-3. He looked fantastic vs. Denver, and mediocre in the losses.
b\c cleary the last 2 games have shown that Roy deserves to be starting..... IS this was we have to look forward to from Roy from now on? 1 good game followed by 3? 4? more? games of can it even be called mediocre? play? and horrific "ole!" defense? ugh....
He has 2 FT attempts since returning, our running game and defense have vanished, and we're 1-3 with 2 blowout losses at home. Define "pretty good".
Blaming Roy for the past two debacles is like blaming one mediocre apple for 10 gallons of bad cider.
Really? He looks just like the Roy before he went out earlier this season to me. His movement is limited and defensivelyl players just run right by him. One of the reasons there was no help for him on many plays last night was because he got blown by so fast, that help could not arrive. It was that easy. One of my freinds compared his movement to Robert Horry. I believe he is spot on. Also I would point out that the Denver game, although he got the shot of in the end, it was more of a coaching mistake by George Karl to put a shorter player on him (Felton) where normally they would have Affalo on him. I think if Affalo was on him, that shot wouldn't have happened. Roy cannot move like he used to. He struggled to even get that shot off. He just got lucky George Karl fucked up.
I call and raise you a Camby. Miller Matthews Wallace Aldridge Camby That's the starting lineup I want to see.
