If that's how playoff basketball is won and lost in 2009, then Nate best get with the program.

Maybe after he gets done punching Blake in the balls, he'll go whine to the media.

Nate should punch himself in the balls before that.

Horrible coaching effort tonight. There's only so much "play harder, take better shots guys".

defensive schemes were horrible. twin towers is a stupid concept.

I should whine about him using Rudy Fernandez sparingly and not running any of the offense through Greg Oden who at times was triple teamed.

The only time the twin towers worked before every single big man could shoot. Olajuan and Sampson. Sampson could hit 3 pointers. Duncan and Robinson. Both could shoot a 18' jumper with ease. Lambeer and Edwards. Both could hit the jumpers, Lambeer being able to hit 3's. Joel can't hit a jumper. Enough said.

Przybilla is probably one of the worst offensive big men in the game. I love his defense and rebounding, but the guy really is one dimensional. He can only dunk.

Exactly. And if they're doing it for defensive reasons? Yao hasn't done shit since game one....we need perimeter defense...we actually should have been running a zone the way the Rockets have been absoultely killing us with midrange jumpers.

And you know what. Nate put that lineup in mysteriously at crunch time...with about 6 minutes left? And we had to BURN a timeout just to get Aldridge back in the game and fix the mistake. That cost us at the end.

Yea it is frustrating, but let's look at this game realistically. There were mistakes from all the Blazer players, all through the game, that added up to the end result. When you have to come from way down in a playoff basketball game, your chances are not good. Maybe if you play both halves, you win. The Blazer need to show up for 4 quarters to get a win on the road. Not 2. Not 3. 4.

Wasn't it the fans (you guys) that suggested all the damn time he play the Twin Towers? Now he does, and you know why he didn't in the first place.

It hasn't worked well because both guys are too much alike. The play almost exactly the same way.

That was to shut Yao, who had an awesome game 1 and put the blazers away early on by just taking it in to Joel. He was unstoppable. But when the rockets ARE NOT running the offense through Yao, running the "twin towers" makes absolutely no sense. When the team is running a jump shooting offense, having two centers in there is probably the stupidest thing you could do.

I have no idea why Nate thought it would be a good idea, especially when the blazers were on the rise.

Rudy should whine at Nate. Outlaw is playing like shit. Between Outlaw and Rudy their playing minutes should be switched. Bad coaching by Nate.

Hard to argue with that. Outlaw looks like this year's version of Cliff Robinson - a guy who disappears in the play-offs. With all the attention the defense is giving Roy and Aldridge, Outlaw should be having a field day. Instead, in 86 minutes of playing time he's shot 9 - 30 from the field and grabbed a grand total of 6 rebounds. The guy is averaging almost 29 MPG, and on 2 RPG. That's pathetic. I'm also getting tired of him losing Battier on the defensive end for wide open 3s and backdoor dunks.

Travis either needs to step up, or sit down.

To me, it's interesting how Portland fans have this dislike of Outlaw, yet outside of Portland people rave about what he does. I know there are a lot of Rockets fans who'd love to have Travis Outlaw on their team.

What is it about him that bugs you guys the most? Is it just this series, mainly, or a season-long thing?

Very low basketball IQ. Yes, he can hit some big shots, and when his shot is falling, he's impossible to defend. However, it seems for every shot he makes, he gives up an easy 2 on the other end. He constantly loses his man on defense. How do you think Battier is getting those wide open 3s and backdoor dunks?

He's our Aaron Brooks. Rockets fans bitch about Brooks' decision making, selfish play and inability to get Yao the ball - but he's also a guy, that when he's on can win games for you with his shooting.

In your opinion, would the Blazers be a better team with Battier instead of Outlaw?

    Is this a trick question?

If Battier and Outlaw swapped teams, this series would be a joke. Houston would not win one game. Battier is the type of player Portland needs, while Outlaw is exactly the type of player Houston could not afford to have.

I'd do that deal in a heartbeat. Battier's defense and IQ and ability to hit 3s, would be a perfect complement to Brandon and our starting lineup.
