Glad to see the championship was won by the Big 10 (excluding penn state of course), not the "almighty" SEC, and a team that overcame so much. Congrats Ohio State

Yeah, and I saw the fires and mini riot on the news during a "celebration".
I'm kinda hoping Ohio State never wins another.

    Thank you.

Well just bring in a coach from the SEC and you're all good.

What's that yer sayin' young fella' eh???? ( a deaf old mute man), did you say you wish the Big 10 would hire more SEC coaches? Or did you say Congrats to Urban Meyer's Buckeyes, not only did his team take down a fair-to good BAMA team, they probably took down the most overall balanced Offense in College Football; (Oregon)....!

    Congrats to the Big 10.....

Now I'm anxious to see Harbaugh try to bring the glory years back to The Wolverines......!!!

IMO, after watching every single BAMA game this year, I'm honestly perplexed they began the year as the #2 team, and entered their Playoff Game with but 1 loss, ranked #1. Cuz I sure as Hell never saw a #1 ranked BAMA Team play one game all year, without sloppy inconsistent play. BAMA throughout the year had way to many penalties, (killing numerous scoring drives), to many turn overs, and overall sloppy play. It was impossible to get a true read on this years BAMA team, as they'd play like they could of won a Super Bowl one week, and look like total shit the next, while playing a non rated team at that....!

    Indeed

I've just never cared for the SEC with the possible exception of Florida & Arkansas.... But even then, when Arkansas played my Alma Mater, you bet your ass I wasn't cheering for Arkansas

Hammer, remind me if you will which UNI is your Alma Mater? Wasn't it Rutgers?

I cut my teeth more on the Big 8 Conference as a kid, tho' I also spent some time as a kid (and as an Adult) in SEC Country. Out here in Pac 10-12 Country, I enjoy the NFL styles of Team Offenses. Yet, the PAC has never grown on me like other conferences. My closest buddy as a kid, came from Ohio and was a huge Buckeye's Fan, (the days of Woody Hayes). I've oft enjoyed Big 10 games, almost as much as those noted below.

The Big 8 in the mid 60s to mid 90s, were ALL about Tom Osborne's CornHuskers, and Switzer's Sooners. One or the other so often were Natl. Champs. The two always played each other on Black Friday also, a must see game, 1 day after Thanksgiving. (and so often a nail biter). I was elated when Osborne beat the shit out of Spurrier's Gators; 62-24/ Nebraska's Defensive & Offensive Line's average 325 lbs. (always more than a any NFL Team)......

When I moved to GA. in 96, and t0 Lake Charles, La. in 97, until 2001, I loved living in Middle Ga. not far from where 59 lives now. Everyone and their mother, was mostly a (JoeJah) Bulldawgs fan, or GA. Tech fan. I even saw a couple of GA Tech games in 76, & both GA. Team FB games in 97. I've never seen such diehard College Football fans as there are in the South SEC country. Get this: in Athens, GA. when the Dawgs have a Home Game, even McDonald's shuts down for 3-4 hours. McDonalds of all places closing down, (which they don't anywhere else), then all stores & fast food joints shut down, not only cuz their was NO business, so the workers also would go to the games. Those Stadiums so often are 120, 000 person stadiums. Bigger than most NFL stadiums.

In Ga. in 96, with all those Dawgs and Yellow Jacket fans, Nick Saban had his own 30 minute LSU show on Fox Cable. That pissed off I thought, the entire state of Ga. cuz the Dawgs & GT Teams had no shows for their Teams week to week convos.....seeing Saban speak of his team back then was music to my ears, and I relished moving to LSU country a year later. Home of McNeese State, which LSU would play every year as a pre-season match, often kicking the hell out of McNeese, and using their 2nd and 3rd string to do as much.

Basically I love NCAA FB, and yep, I got my favorites, yet just seeing a damn good game by any conference to me, is uplifting.
Now you might have a better idea, how my affiliations came about. I also miss the 1st game of the pre-season, when Notre Dame, played the Wolverines.

My brother on the other hand was a Notre Dame Fan 1st and foremost, and a Happy Valley Penn St. Fan all his life.
