National Geographic has canceled production of “Killing Patton,” a filmed adaptation of the book of the same name by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard, which chronicles the final year of World War II and the death of Gen. George Patton. It questions whether Patton’s death was an accident or an assassination. The decision came less than two months after O’Reilly was ousted from Fox News after a string of sexual harassment claims against him became public, though National Geographic said the cancellation was a creative decision.
