From the most recent Dept of health disciplinary notes.... In April 2014 the Nursing Commission charged licensed practical nurse Hannah J. Baird (LP00054640) with unprofessional conduct. Baird worked at a skilled nursing facility. Multiple times for multiple patients, Baird allegedly signed-out narcotic pain medication but didn’t document administering it. When Baird submitted a urine sample for screening, charges say, her sample was found to be inconsistent with normal human urine. Baird allegedly later admitted to having purchased and submitted synthetic urine. +++++++++++++++++++++++ In April 2014 the Chemical Dependency Professional Program charged chemical dependency professional Matthew P. Eastman-Pittam (CP60003457) with unprofessional conduct. Eastman-Pittam allegedly hugged and kissed a client, put his hand on her thigh, made comments of a sexual nature about her, phoned and texted her for non-therapeutic reasons, told her he had stronger feelings for her than just as his client, told her he loved her, tossed paper clips down the front of her dress, and invited her children to trick-or-treat at his home. Eastman-Pittam allegedly hugged a second client and made comments of a sexual nature about her. ++++++++++++++++++++++++ In April 2014 the Psychology Board charged psychologist Waynes C. Dees (PY00003311) with unprofessional conduct. While working for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Dees met with a client to evaluate him for eligibility for financial benefits. Dees allegedly touched the client as part of a physical examination, said he was attracted to him, asked him if he was homosexual, and told the client he could affect the outcome of the client’s claim for benefits. Dees allegedly later called the client, again asked him if he was homosexual, and reminded the client he could affect the outcome of the client’s claim for benefits. When Dees met the client a second time, he allegedly told the client he was attracted to him, asked the client for sex in exchange for money and asked the client to return to his office that evening. Charges say the client didn’t return and ended contact with Dees. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In April 2014 the Chemical Dependency Professional Program charged chemical dependency professional Scott E. Bateman (CP60026524) with unprofessional conduct. Bateman allegedly began a romantic relationship with a client three to four months after completing her drug and alcohol assessment, and admitted that he fathered a child with her. Charges say Bateman and the client took the child, who was then an infant, to her primary care physician because she was showing decreased responsiveness. Tests showed the child had psychoactive drugs in her system that, charges say, could only have been given intentionally. Child Protective Services determined that allegations of negligent treatment or mistreatment were founded. Bateman didn’t challenge the finding and hasn’t responded to Department of Health inquiries. ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Grafton (MA60084767) with unprofessional conduct. Charges say that when Grafton was teaching in a massage therapy program, she poured denatured alcohol on a student volunteer while demonstrating a technique called “fire-cupping.” The subsequent fire allegedly left the student with second-degree burns on his back and neck. ++++++++++++++++++++++++
