OK Will all know that Devin is playing at an All-Satr level this season but what makes me fearful is ht NBA All-star voting system and how it might affect his chances of making it this year. Vince and devin are at the tops of the league when it comes to points and other stats but we all know at the end of the day this a popularity contest when yo let the fans vote in the top 2 spots.

As it stands when we vote we dont split between the "Shooting Guard" and "point Guard" position which also might hurt devin. You have big candidates such as D-Wade, Allen Iverson, Joe Johnson, Rajon Rondo, Richard Hamilton, and last but not least VC. Two picks that the fans will vote in W-Wade and Allen Iverson. YES YES I know it sucks but its just the way it is.....

Now that leaves Devin's fate in the "Coaches" hands...That leaves them to choose one out of the following:

    1.) Rajon Rando
    2.) Vince Carter
    3.) Devin Harris
    4.)Joe Johnson
    4.) Richard Hamilton

My hope is that the fans dont go off past accomplishments and vote him in by popular vote...What do you guys think??

A bonus addition the Nets will get is all the chinese voters trying to get Yi into the game. When Yao first got to the NBA Rockets did very well, even undeservedly so. Have the first returns come out yet?

It'll be interesting to see how things pan out. I think Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade will win the guard spots from the fan vote. I don't think the coaches will invite Iverson, probably not Rip Hamilton, probably not Rajon Rondo. Calderon probably not either, because of his low scoring.

Outside of Rose/Wade, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Vince Carter, Devin Harris, Ben Gordon, Danny Granger, and Joe Johnson should be competing for the backup spots.

I would say Devin Harris is a lock at this point for one of the backup spots. Inevitably, an allstar worthy player will be screwed over because the East is so perimeter oriented, with so few good big men.

Fan voting will have no impact what so ever on whether Devin goes to the game. Coaches decide and if he attends and if he is still playing at this level they will select him.

That's why it is set-up that way.

I think a great idea for a movie would be BG7 waking up no longer a Bulls fan, and forced to walk the earth in a Ghost-of-Christmas-Past type of way. He sees how biased he's been all these years, and wakes up and buys some peg-legged boy a christmas ham for the Lakers-Celtics game.

I would film that. We could even have a cameo by Aaron Gray!

Hate to say it but I told ya so: Most NBA fans dont know basketball just names!

The NBA released the first returns for All-Star balloting Thursday, and no Nets are in position to start. Yi Jianlian is the closest, in third among East forwards, 140,000 votes behind Kevin Garnett. Vince Carter is third among East guards, but is getting more than doubled up by both Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson. Meanwhile, Devin Harris is 10th among guards, behind the likes of Jose Calderon and Luke Ridnour. Balloting will continue through Jan. 19.
