While sharing the spotlight with NHL hockey scores, the NBA playoffs have been entertaining in its own right, and while the Eastern Conference final featuring Chicago and Miami have been low-scoring, they’ve been entertaining affairs. While everyone came into this series talking about Chicago’s Derrick Rose, the NBA MVP, and Miami’s LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, a lot of people said that the key matchup would come in the post between Chris Bosh and Carlos Boozer, who took some thinly-veiled swipes at his Miami counterpart coming into the series. Bosh is letting his play do the talking.

Bosh was on fire in Game 3’s 96-85 win, dropping a game-high 34 points on 13-of-18 shooting, and he carried the team as James and Wade struggled to get their shots going, combining for a 12-of-30 night. Bosh’s mid-range game was really working as he was hitting jumpers left and right, wide open and contested, and the Bulls had no answer for him. Boozer had 26 points and 17 rebounds on the other side, and although the two don’t guard each other a lot because they’re poor defenders, the spotlight is on their matchup as Boozer said before the series that the Heat had only two great players, which are James and Wade. Bosh hasn’t publically responded with words, but his play in the series shows that he has something to prove. This is his second 30-point game of the series and he was Miami’s best player in Game 1 as well. You’d probably have more luck betting on online casino games than predicting what Bosh was going to do all season as he has been inconsistent, and he struggled under the intense media glare that the Heat were always going to be under, but he’s peaking at the right time.

Those making NFL picks would never compare Bosh to a banger in the lane, but he knows what he can do and that is spread the floor with his mid-range game, which creates more space for James and Wade. While Bosh may not be a great player, he certainly is very good, he’s always a threat to make the All-Star game, and people forget how good he was for the United States Olympic team in Beijing, where he sacrificed points to be arguably the best defensive player on the team (although he’s never played defense like that in the NBA). The Heat were 3-2 when Bosh didn’t play in the regular season, but one win came in the season finale against Toronto when coach Erik Spoelstra rested his best players. You can’t win a championship with just two players, and Bosh is definitely stepping up against the Bulls. If he continues this play, Miami will prove why they were a favorite all season among sports betting experts.
