One of the most fun days of the year. Get aboslutely nothing done at work, go home early, set up computers, multiple windows and the TV stream. Rewatch the draft several times and scour the internet until 1:30am for rumors.
I have my iBook next to my tv surfing the various draft sites. I'll stream 95.5 draft coverage All while I'm playing COD6 online
It's more like "draft week rituals." There usually are so many rumors and smokescreens floating around about the Blazers, I can't seem to get away for a few days before and after (ahem, "acclaimed player") the draft. I'm gonna miss this fun midsummer buzz once KP is gone. DAMN YOU, PA!
As a Laker fan, draft isn't particularly exciting for my team, but I love the NBA so I watch what everyone does. So on that note. What you did to your friends, I did to my gf last year during draft day lol
FUCK YOU CRAKERS.............. I HAVE TO WORK! I will have my computer shut and phone turned off from 4 til I get home and start watching it around 11PM!
Last years 1080 coverage was weird. They played the 'breaking news song/theme,' something I expected to be a trade, only to break the news that Michael Jackson died. Btw, I tend to ignore my guests so I prefer to fly solo on draft day.
A big screen TV, a laptop (where I get the Blazer station) a bottle of wine, and a pizza. And no one else in the room to bug me.
Perfect! I'll be motorboatin' HCP's wifes glorious hooters, drinkin' HCP's beer, eatin' HCP's munchies, tellin' HCP's kids to be quiet, and watching the draft on HCP's kick ass new TV.
DVR, just in case. Laptop's open, cell's on in case my "sources" want to let me know something, and the wife occasionally dropping in to say "who'd we just trade?"
