Morris announced yesterday he will make himself available for the NBA Draft in June, and although Morris has not yet hired an agent and can return to the Pirates if he does not turn pro, those closest to him believe he'd prefer to play professionally.

"I'm sure he would," Morris' mother, Sybil, said last night. "But you know it's a long shot in the NBA Draft, and then to sign with somebody. But you only get this opportunity once in a while. I think he's testing out the draft." In a statement, Morris made it sound like he's going to do more than that. Long shot or not, Morris, who missed the final seven games of Seton Hall's season due to academic suspension, is ready to leave Seton Hall.

"This is something I have been preparing for my whole life," Morris said. "I sat down with Coach Orr and told him that I felt I was ready to take my game to the next level. I feel I am ready to take this step. In my three years at Seton Hall, Coach Orr has taught me a lot about life and about basketball, and how to combine them. Everything in life is a learning experience, and at this point, I feel it is just time for me to move on." </div> Source
