Compare two good (or bad) highlights in history, but both have to have something similar to make them a reasonable comparison.

Marbury's crossover on Yao or Iverson's crossover on Wesley? (both fell)

Marbury's crossover on Yao was sick when he fell down. They have that all over the place.

Michael Jordan's buzzer beater against the Jazz (1997, Game 1 of NBA Finals) or Kobe Bryants buzzer beater against Trailblazers (last game of 2003-04 season)?

^ i gotta go with Kobe on that one, the degree of difficulty was enormous...
actually, i dont even remmber MJ's buzzer beater in game 1 (i started watching the finals that year starting at game 3 or so)

Vince Carter thru the legs in Oakland in 2000 or Jason Richardson off-the-glass thru-the-legs last year?

Vince Carter's because he had to catch the pass that he didn't know how it was going to be passed and yet, he still managed to put it through the legs perfectly. Richardson put the ball at the bottom of the backboard, thus making it easy for him.

Bill Russell's block on Jerry West or Tayshaun Prince's block on Reggie Miller?

Bill Russell. for a big guy like him running the court considering hes not as athletic as tayshaun is pretty damn impressive

MJ- "The Shot" (against Cleveland I believe)
or
MJ- shot in Utah for championship number 6? (crosess Bryon Russell)

I would go with the shot in Utah. I was actually there and was about 9 years old at the time. And all of you should agree that this shot was one of the best in NBA history. Game 6 of the 1998 Finals against the Jazz, Jordan had about 10 seconds left on the clock when he ran down the court, and shot that amazing shot with 5.3 seconds left to play.

Just amazing.

I can't really name any highlights so somebody please ask one. [IMG]

That's a tough one, but I voted Jordan's 1st free throw line dunk because he added more sauce to it despite not doing anything like the double clutch, which he did in his 3rd free throw line dunk. The "sauce" consisted of movement of his arms and legs. Dr. J's body looked paralyzed because he didn't do anything whatsoever during the approach to the dunk.

Vince's dunk on Mutombo in his rookie season or Jordan's dunk on Ewing?

iverson's 50 something game against vince carter's 50 something game in 2001 semi finals

Carter's. He set a record in the playoffs with 9 three pointers in his 50 point performance, and pretty much all those points were being guarded by McKie and Mutombo. When Iverson scored 54, he was just schooling Alvin Williams like crazy, who's not even a good defender.

Crunch time: Boston Celtics versus Phoenix Suns in game 6 of the 1974 finals or Lakers versus Spurs in game 5 of the 2004 semi-finals?

although vince's dunk was nasty i have to go with MJ because he had to screw up 2 other defenders and then put it down and it also looked like it hurt because he dunked it with the bottom of his palm but vince gets extra points for the look he gave mutombo after the dunk

Tmac's "off the backboard" dunk in the ASG (2002) or Tmac's "off the backboard" dunk in the ASG (2004).

I think his first one, which was in during the 2002 All-Star game, was just way better. No one had ever seen that before in an NBA game, especially, an off-the backboard shot during the All-Star game to excite the crowd. Also, in the 2002 one, McGrady needed to hit the ball of the bottom of the backboard, split through many defenders, go in the air, and got it in the last millisecond, of finishing it off with a huge dunk.

Vince Carter's famous Olympic Dunk over a seven-footer, or Ricky Davis completely dunking it over Steve Nash?

Vince. Too Easy. He cleared the guy. Ricky didn't compltetely clear Nash. Besdies, the Weiss was 7'+ and Nash is like 6'1".

MJ fake dunk and then layup with left hand... versus anything else that any nba player has ever done.

Anything else. There is way too many sick HL that smoke that MJ play. I don't see why it's so special. Anybody can do it. I bet Kobe can do it easily. No bashing on MJ or that move, but I see nothing special. IMHO, it'd way over-hyped.

MJ's thing..

Any player's fake behind the back pass to layup? or when marbury tossed the ball from behind Divac, over Divac's head, caught it in the air and shot it. he made divac spin

Answer mine since I answered first. And to your question, the Marbury one wasn't that good because he airballed.

Even though MJ was way past his dunking prime, he should of easily made a plain 1 hander. I understand that Ricky's hands aren't as big enough to put it through the legs and dunk it perfectly, so this goes to MJ.

Francis' dunk on Jahadi White or Amare's dunk on Olowokandi?
