Which one do you prefer, and why?I prefer NBA 2k6. The gameplay is alot more realistic, and in Live when a guy like Stromile Swift who can dunk gets the ball downlow, you know he is going to dunk over you no matter what. Also the superstar stuff is retarded. It makes anyone who is good at dunking a great NBA player. And it is way too easy to hit 3 pointers in Online, so it just turns into a 3 pt jacking contest. Also, NBA 2k6's gameplay is just alot more fun for me. And the franchise mode too. In NBA Live the workouts for the rookies are really cool, and I like how it shows what they are good at with that diamond thing. And it shows really faces, not just the same face for rookies. Also in Live, if you are over the cap it wont let you sign players. In 2k6 they let you sign with the exception and stuff. There are some minor problems in 2k6 like all the jump balls, the rosters arent completely updated too. But those are just minor problems, and I would take 2k6 in a heartbeat. I know that I will be buying nba 2k7 instead of live 07 next year..So whats your opinion?
I've been playing Live so I wouldnt know the difference. But with all this hype about the 2K series, I think i'll get both versions for 2007.
We've had this topic many times..I would choose 2K6..I like it, its fast, gameplay is more realistic, and faster..Live is just some slow sh*t, I dont play it because I dont have an hour for an entire season to go by.
Ive only ever played Live, cause I have never seen the 2k Series and any game stores around here.But from what I have heard from people who play the 2k seriest, it sounds ultimatley liek the better game.

i thought the live series really tunred to sh*t in 06, 2k was way ahead in every aspect. i think 2k5 nfl styles is the best nfl game ever made
Live 06 is pissing me off. My guys keep throwing the ball off the back of the backboard when they get pushed. There's a bunch of stupid stuff. I wanna get NBA 07, but they gotta improve graphics and gameplay. The Life is a helluva concept I've been waiting for forever.
