Luke Kennard isn’t officially out yet.
This guy? Shit
We may not get the Pels pick but our own pick could be #1. God works in mysterious ways.
It doesn't matter what we want - he is going to have the chance so we're hoping he gets it done.
No, I'm going to spend 20 thousand words calling him a loser instead
20k words is chump change.
It's Joe's fault that the Pelicans currently have the 8th pick and it wasnt included as part of the CJ trade.
Don't ruffle feathers? He traded CJ McCollum who was a fan favorite, which angered a lot of people, then he tanked the season, which angered a lot of people (perhaps including Bill Schonely). He also made some trades that angered a lot of people.
...and then the Pels win the lottery and we lose it again.
Yeah, everybody loved CJ! Except the vast majority of people on this board who've been screaming to trade him since we drafted him...
Dammit, I pulled out the wrong voodoo doll.
I can love CJ and also simultaneously not want him on my team.
Why the hell would the Pelicans give up the Lakers pick?!?
At the time it wasn't that good of a pick.
That is the one constant: Some people are unhappy year round.
They weren't happy rolling back a roster year after year where we were swapping out role players.
Ultimately, over-valuing the talent on this roster the last 5+ years had people thinking we should have done better in the playoffs than we did and that we should have got more back in trades than we did. IMO, the reality was we were rolling a great player with little support, and the trade market supported that idea.
What if I'm only happy when I'm unhappy?
Because they literally have up their pick when it was 8th in the lottery. Not the Lakers pick is. It should've been that the Blazers get the NOP 1st and if it doesn't convey them they get the Lakers pick unless it's top 4.
