Tracy Mcgrady, his jumpshot is great but not only that.. he knows how to get his shot off perfectly and he knows how to depend on it aswell and he can just score like crazy when he's feeling it and yeh I could go on.There's many many players who are great jumshoters but who has the best jump shot and who uses it to it's best ability when done..... ?
We had a similar thread to this a while back, but it was mid-range jump shooters. I went with Rip Hamilton then, and I'm going with him now. He's so smooth coming off the picks its ridiculous.
Ray Allen has a great shot from downtown and so does Rip Hamilton. Two of my favorite NBA shooters right there.

Nash, Terry, Ray Allen, Michael Redd, and Billups come to mind as well.

Especially when he does those fakes and just fires a fadeaway.Rip Hamilton is another one; I fins it pretty crazy that he is top tier at many things in the NBA but he's not considered one of the best players. He is a good offensive contributer.
The best to watch are:-Kobe: Amazingly smooth, his fadeaway is incredible.-T-Mac: Not so much form, but extremely entertaining shot to watch. He can double clutch, fadeaway, and rise up over just about anyone, and every shot is a nice line drive.-Michael Redd: He has a cool lefty shot, nice high arc, and overall just a very nice jumpshot.-Dirk: Great form, every shot is a nice rainbow, and it always looks like it's going to go in.
I love T-Mac's shot just because it seems not matter what he's doing or where he's doing it he can pull up in anyone's face and drain it.Dirk-Long and lank just like himself, love his shooting ability. His mid-range shot is hilarious, I mean it's good, he just looks so awkward shooting the ball from the mid-range but it works. Pierce-Not so much his everyday shot but his pump fakes, then drawing a foul, and still getting the shot off. He has perfected that shot. Antoine-He shoots from his neck and doesn't jump like women shoot. I don't like his shot, I think it's just funny as hell watching him shoot.Kobe Bryant-Smooth, Fluid, looks so nice coming off his hands.Michael Redd-Quick release, accurate, love his shot.Gerald Green-Getting better and better on his outside shooting. He has such a high release and looks very smooth when he gets in the rythym. He'll be a lot of people's favorite shooter in a few years.
Ray Allen's shot is very smooth. He has a very quick release too which makes it harder for people to block. Also Peja has a nice shot too. He also won 2 or 3 3point contest and the reason he was able to do that was because he never got his eyes off the net. Also Kobe has a smooth shot too. They make it look so easy like the 3 point is nothing.
How about Tayshaun Prince - he's got a text book shot. He rises up, bends the elbows, hands on the side and front and lets it go. He's smooth with that shot.
We've had this thread 700 times with the same half a dozen players...I really don't give a crap what your shooting form is as long as it goes in.

Whether or not it is the "Best" right now in the game, Jamal Crawford MUST be mentioned top 10. Never seen a guy be able to knock em down like him from 17-22 feet.
My favorite shot in the NBA is definitely Dirk. His midrange is unstoppable, and when is set from 3 point range, he is ridiclously deadly. On his mid range game, his ability to shoot over the defender really gives him the edge. Also, I think he definitely has the softest touch in the game. Everytime he shoots it, you just have the feeling that its going in...
Fo real. I wish Dirk were on the Suns for a lot less money Maybe give him Banks' and Thomas' salaries combined annually.
