NBA reviewing Game 5 postgame actionsDALLAS (AP) - The NBA said Monday it is reviewing the actions of Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and forward Dirk Nowitzki following the end of Game 5 of the NBA finals.Upset over several calls that went against the Mavericks in the closing seconds of their 101-100 overtime loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday night, Cuban ran onto the court to vent at official Joe DeRosa, then stared down and screamed toward commissioner David Stern and a group of league officials, from the court, then the stands.A league spokesman said Monday that NBA disciplinarian Stu Jackson wasn't at the game and hadn't reviewed what happened.Even if any action is taken against Cuban, it may not be announced. Stern prefers to keep penalties against owners private. Penalties given to players are announced, and Nowitzki could be facing one for kicking the ball into the stands. Detroit's Richard Hamilton and Sacramento's Bonzi Wells were each fined $5,000 for throwing the ball off the court during games this season. Any penalty would be announced before Game 6, which is Tuesday night
I think the NBA should just let this one go. They should realize that the Mavs got cheated at late in the game. Anyone would be frustrated if that had happened.

If dirk gets suspended then some serious action needs to be taken. Cuban should withdraw dallas from the playoffs. Then miami's ring would be tarnished.

Maybe Cuban can make other teams stop playing. I wouldn't mind a lockout if they can fix this bullsh**.

I mean the NBA suspended Artest, and other players for stuff I did not agree with. Only thing I really agree with was the suspension of Bell when he tackled Kobe. LOL
As I type this, the league is and has been looking into the kicked ball into the stands by Dirk after game 5. They are considering suspension. Allegedely a fan, a grown man by the way, was hit by the basketball and was escorted on a stretcher to a nearby ambulance. I don't know if the guy ended up going to the hospital. I would like to say that if you, as a man, get hit by a basketball and needs to be taken to an ambulance on a stretcher or to a hospital, then you should no longer be allowed to be a man. As for Dirk, if he's suspended, then so be it. He had no business kicking the ball in the stands in the first place.Phenom from ign boards who works at espn radio in Dallas. :HAHAHA: I actually want to see dirk get suspended, then cuban can withdraw dallas and then the nba would forever be tainted.
Maybe Cuban can spend his billions on a new league. Take all the West team's players and build a new one.
Nowitzki Fined $5,00019th June, 2006 - 8:07 pmPress Release - Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki has been issued the standard fine of $5,000 for kicking a basketball into the stands, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Senior Vice President Basketball Operations. The incident occurred at the conclusion of the Mavericks? 101-100 loss to the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the 2006 NBA Finals at AmericanAirlines Arena at Arizonafan.
The NBA has officially gone down the drain. Too bad I really have no alternative league to watch. My college team blows and i love the Suns.

Mavs you got a link?<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BCB @ Jun 19 2006, 05:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Oh come on...stop overreacting...</div>No, I've had enough. The NBA is trash. This playoffs have proved it. Your team didn't even make an impact so you son't realize it but the NBA is the worst league right now. I'd put the sh*tty MLS over it at the moment. The NBA playoffs wasn't even close to the NFL playoffs. The Super Bowl had some questionable calls but after looking back you could see they weren't bad calls at all.

Someone get me one of those ebaumsworld pics. :happy0144:I'm not mad at that Wade call. I'm mad at the whole playoffs.
