I think the NCAA somehow needs to set up programs in foreign countries to help scout out foreign talent to then put in NCAA and then possibly NBA. Take for exmaple Yao, he plays some ball in China, comes to play in the NBA, everyone talks about how he needs to adjust somewhat. If they can get kids into the NCAA which isn't that different from the NBA the foreign kids will be far better prepared.
other countries have there own leagues so the ncaa dose not need to bring them to a school so they can play b-ball.

No, how will a 22 year old look as a freshman in college....not a good idea, they'd have to get them early when they're not ready to leave....next subject
the NCAA wont allow a lot of foreign players come and play because a lot have played pro in there own countries and therefore are ineligible by NCAA rules

I thought it was a good idea at the time but obviously not

If players can't play in pro leagues in Europe and then come to America to play NCAA basketball then how did Erazem Lorbek play for Michigan State last year? And how will Andrew Bogut of Australia play for Utah next season? Bottom line, you are wrong. And the reason why the NCAA doesn't go to Europe is not because any of the reasons listed. Can someone here tell me what the NCAA is? It is college basketball, and Europe has it's own colleges and college basketball leagues. I think you guys missed the boat on this one.

There are plenty of cities to go to in America before the NBDL, which is a low budget league, starts flying players back and forth between Europe and America. Right now the NBDL barely has enough money to bus players around the Southeastern region of American alone. The NBDL has no academic ties like the NCAA does though.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">No, how will a 22 year old look as a freshman in college</div> No one complained, not even today, about Amit Tamir of Cal-Berkley who will be entering his junior year and will be 25 years old. He even missed his first eight games as a freshman because he was playing the the pros in Israel.
