Crap, UK gets in Kansas' bracket.

I'm not sure if we can get by Villanova but if we do, we will get derailed by Kansas...by derailed...your looking at a 20-25 point loss.

    I can't wait though!!!!

BTW, how in the hell did Duke get a 6 seed? That's freaking ridiculous!

Has anybody gotten a bracket printed out yet? With the teams on it?

if you go to cbs.sportsline.com, towards the right you will see an option "printable version". click that, then right click the bracket and click print picture. thats what i did anyway.

That is B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T! Arkansas barely deserves an NIT bid, much less an NCAA bid. The committee put way too much emphasis on the SEC tournament, but look at their road: South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State. Wow! What an intimidating bracket! [/sarcasm]

They're 7-9 in conference (the SEC West none the less) with losses to Missouri, Georgia, Ole Miss, South Carolina, LSU, Mississippi State, and Auburn. They should be out!

I would be half as mad as I am now had Syracuse not been snubbed. The Orangemen are a team that I had pegged as a potential Elite 8 team going into Selection Sunday. With 22 wins (10 in-conference), including games agianst Marquette, Villanova, Georgetown, and DePaul, I figured they were a lock.

They're talented with HS All-Americans all throughout their roster; they're experienced, with three seniors leading this team; and they're a dynasty, which should definitely factor into the selection, as the bigger name teams draw bigger crowds and generally have more experience in the situations.

    Syracuse should be in.

    ^As should Drexel.

J_Ray, I don't know much about Purdue, but from what I saw in the Ohio St. game, they have a hell of a player in Landry, but they go as he goes. If you can shut him down, the Wildcats are definitely talented enough to easily take down this team.

Memo to Gary Walker: the SEC was the biggest disappointment as far as conferences go, that we had this year. I didn't know that failure to live up to preseason expectations is reason for a reward. Tennessee - who I really do like - should've been a 6 or 7. Vandy a 6 seed? That's a misprint. No? It's not? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Arkansas got in? Now I know you're pulling my chain. Over Syracuse? Man, put away the bottle.

Wait - that's for real? [IMG]

I'm happy with Wisconsin getting a #2 seed - after today, I wouldn't have been shocked to see us get a #3 seed. Purdue getting a nine is VERY surprising, considering Illinois got a 12 - I'd have thought you could flip those teams around. J_Ray, to answere your question Purdue doesn't hesitate to run, as they've got quite a few guards who can play and handle the ball. They'll press and trap - they remind me of Minnesota 2 years ago, when they lost to Iowa St in the 1st round. Carl Lanry is a certifiable stud, and will score against anybody's interior defenders. Purdue doesn't have much depth at all in the frontcourt, which Zona should try to exploit. Landry will probably own Radenovic, but if the other Zona bigs decide to show up, they should get away with murder down low. I'll warn you, though - don't sleep on Gordon Watt. He's 6'6, 230 and very athletic, the equal of any Zona wing as far as scoring inside the 3 point arc. I think the Boilers will be a tougher out than many expect - they know when to turn it up a notch.

I must also say, as a Big 10 fan, that Michigan State got hosed. A #9 seed? They beat Villanova, BYU, Wisconsin and Indiana - who all got a 9 or better. Seeing Vandy get a 6 and Sparty a 9 leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I agree with you 100%. The only reason I am glad to see them get is because Stan Heath was reportedly going to get fired if he didn't make the NCAA tourney and I do not think that is fair one bit.

But anways, I am in total shock not to see Syracuse and Drexel in the field of 65. I figured both of these teams had a good enough resume to at least warrant a 11 seed.

I disagree. I'm perfectly fine with having Drexel out. They're getting a lot of sympathy because they're a mid-major, but they had their chances and blew them. They went 0-4 against VCU and Old Dominion, the top two teams in their conference, and then when you look at who they lost to, it gets really ugly. Losing to Penn, Rider, and William & Mary? [IMG]

Purdue, J_Ray, is a typical, scrappy Big Ten team: not that high on talent, but big on structure and heart, and like Schaddy said, they're also a team that gets out and runs better than any other team in the conference. They're also a team that makes you beat them. What I mean by that is that they don't beat themselves with careless turnovers and stupid mistakes. The reason for that is all on the roster. They have a lot of experience, with Landry and Teague, two guys who medically redshirted last season, and because of that poise and that experience, I'm contemplating picking them to go all the way to the Sweet 16. They can be a real bracket buster.

This has to be one of the deepest tourny's in awhile, with teams like Marquette and Mich. St. meeting in the first round. In previous years, teams like UCONN (04) and UNC (05) were the run-away favourites to win and they did. There is so much talent this year, that the title is up for grabs, and there are legitimately about 10 teams who have a shot at it. I'm so pysched for this thing to start.

I don't really see depth in this bracket, just a bunch of okay teams. There is the few elite teams but once you get to 3-6 seeds, there is a lot of teams out of mid-major conferences that aren't your typical powerhouse teams you have.....

I think Arizona could probably run Purdue out of the building because Arizona draws a lot of fouls usually and will come with their A game for the first game, or they usually do.....right Schaddy [IMG]

I like how UNC got ****** with having to play either Marquette or Michigan St. in the second round no less. and then IF they win they would most likely have to play Texas..... No doubt they have the hardest path of all the #1 seeds. Looks like it will just make it that much more impressive when they win!

Syracuse got screwed. Plain and f*ckin simple. And how the hell did Duke get a 6th seed?
