Ya' gotta' pull for the Dawgs if you're east of Bama, from FLA to t/Kentucky, it's a birthright.... From Rocky Top to the Swamp of Gainesville....

Love seeing the SEC represented in this Title Game, no losers. (But don't tell Saban that). The SEC imo, has always shown me, since my teens, the fervor, fever for College FB, as much these days if not more, than the slugfests of Osborne and Switzer in the 70's....

Living in Middle Ga, not far north of 59, (96-97) was a treat in many ways, not just sports but the state itself, the people just as much. Very endearing culture, climate, and people.

That being said, and being a Bama/LSU NCAA fan going back to my own youth in Luzianna. I found it sad, yet almost hysterical to hear my college football buddies in Georgia; all either Bulldawgs or GT Yellow Jackets Fans, bemoan, piss and groan, (and rightfully so), because Nick Saban had a 30 minute show covering his LSU Bayou Bengals, on Georgia TV, the nerve of those broadcast cable/satellite providers, dare cross the border into JoeJaah.....gotta' love it.

2 great running teams, 2 great defenses. So far, Bama's stuck in the mud. Can Saban pull a rabbit out of his houndstooth hat??? Wait, he doesn't wear one, maybe time to pull one out....

damn, they're going to make this a 2 TD replay....

honestly good to see t/Bomb to Brown not over ruled. If his heel were out of bounds, his cleats were obviously in bounds, picking fly shit out of pepper, a clean TD imo....

this game's like the Thrilla in Manila, two heavyweights exchanging blows, tit for tat and back again....What a game, regardless of outcome....!

1st reaction to Ridley's tying TD catch....

wtfknhell, ya' gotta' be kidding me.... in that kind of traffic? When the fresh hawaiin qb, couldn't hit his spots on 4 prior end zone throws....wtf, give no credit to t/QB, that's all Ridley, and a boat load of LUCK....

missing a chip shot in the last second, is a damn fine way to lose a game going into OT-

unfkngbelievable, sacked for a 16 yd loss out of FB range, followed by looking off the safety, hurling an accurate ball for a change, and counting t/seconds wondering if t/WR can run fast enough to get under t/end zone TD pass.... wow

Great game by Ga., a better Offense by t/Dawgs, met by equally damaging Defenses. Luck of the clock, definitely not luck of the Irish. Miracles have to happen to make these games it's obvious. Yet these kids need to change their majors as evangelists, or take a course in public speaking....

I definitely did, a game where you don't want to see either team lose. The NFL could borrow a few pages out of the NCAA's....

6 Natl Titles, (this one by the grace of god or the goddess of luck), ties Paul Bear Bryant. :tiphat:He won't be talking to any Coca-Cola bottles tonight....

...Bama benched their starting QB Jalen Hurts and brought in a true freshman QB and played some inspired football in the 2nd half, but again, the Refs missed or completely blew about 3 calls on crucial plays that affected the outcome of the game.
...great game for the ratings, but absolutely terrible officiating.

    ^^^

honestly, I thought I saw the Ref's blow at least 5 or more calls, that wen't against t/Dawgs. Even near the end, what imo looked like a clear cut horse collar by Bama's Defense....

ridiculous officiating- for this level, or any level of Football incl Pop Warner; or any other sport. It's been a bad week for Officials, i.e. KC vs TN. Ref: url link below....

another point, I've never seen as many "true" Freshmen, contributing to many of the Top 10 Teams, moreso in the SEC. More in the SEC, because the SEC is contributing more to the NFL, than any other conference by far....

Great game 59, t/Dawgs are going to be a force to reckon with for Years to come; and imo, they will win a Natl Championship before Kirby Smart grows one grey hair, which s/b soon. I was shocked when UofGA let Mark Richt go. Imo, Richt was the epitome of a Great Coach, still is imo....

Before U-of Miami lost to Clemson in the ACC title game, I honestly expected to see Richt vs his old Team Ga., in this Title game....

Georgia should be a consensus top-10 team heading into next season, in spite of losing an abundance of talent in the backfield and on defense. The Bulldogs will return 13 starters and also have the nation's No. 1 recruiting class coming in.

College football conferences and schools with the most NFL Draft success
    Daniel Wilco | NCAA.com
    Last Updated - Apr 28, 2017 08:57 EDT

Since the NFL’s first draft in 1936, 1,839 players have heard their names called in the first round.
In those 82 first rounds, there have now been —
    — 82 first overall picks. Again, it’s the SEC that comes out on top with 19 of those. The Pac-12 is right behind with 17, and the Power 5 as a whole accounts for an impressive 76.6 percent of all No. 1 draft picks since 1936.

And, as has been the case for the past 82 years, a large handful of those players came from the SEC. In the 82 first rounds since the draft started in 1936, 397 SEC players have been picked in the first round — more than any other conference. The next closest conference is the Big Ten, which has seen 373 players get drafted in the first round. No other conference has more than 300 and, unsurprisingly, the Power 5 (SEC, Big Ten, Pac-12, ACC, Big 12) is responsible for 78.5 percent of all first-round draft picks (all but 402 of them, actually).

2- I know I already mentioned it seemed to me, there were 5 blown calls. According to this breakdown of each blown call (4), that went against the Dawgs, and were bogus calls to begin with. Of course, the horsecollar isn't included which would make 5, yet still seems more blown calls were made imo....ntm- the replay of obviously fair catches, the TD replays, just seems like the Ref's called the game worse than high school refs.... the link below, reveals as much.... Bad to see pitiful officiating, at least good it's being talked about, and pointed out. I'd of rather seen the Ref's take a long dinner break, during the game, and came back for the post game to pick up confetti, another thing they still would of fkd up....

    https://www.sbnation.com/college-fo...s-missed-calls-national-championship-facemask

1- True freshman DeVonta Smith caught the winning pass, thrown by TF "the Hawaiin kid", Tuatagwhateverhisfkngnameis. True freshman Najee Harris was Bama’s leading rusher. True freshman Alex Leatherwood took over for an injured Jonah Williams at left tackle. True freshman Henry Ruggs III caught a TD.

^^^for me, the worst and probably most impactful was on Bama's first possession of the 2nd half where on 4th down they were forced to punt, Georgia blocked the punt and recovered on Bama's 10 yard line...but one of the Ref's threw a flag on Georgia saying they were offsides (not at all sure wtf he was looking at)....not only were the Dawgs not offside but it was actually a Bama player that clearly flinched and should have been flagged for illegal motion which Georgia would have obviously declined and would have have the ball on Bama's 10 yard line and already having a 13-0 lead...Bama scored a few minutes later...14 point swing...big difference in being ahead 13-7 vs being ahead 20-0.
