OK, since April oil has dropped 25% but gas is up about 12% (in Washington).

    Why?

I'd heard on NPR that one or more oil refineries are having issues and supply (at least locally) is lower. Pretty sure the Blaine oil refinery is one of the problems.

the conservative corporate conglomerate illuminati at halliburton own most of the countries refineries and have driven the price up in order to make obama look bad in battleground states

Well, whatever the reason, this pisses me off. I don't mind the higher prices so long as oil is high.

Lol -- I've noticed traffic gets lighter when gas prices go up, so it's not all bad.

Those Ferndale and Birch Bay bums don't work. Tie them to their drills.

It's 50% higher, even more than I predicted.

The serious answer is commodities investors speculate by betting on oil price futures. Congress won't touch Wall Street. Gas prices aren't proportional to oil costs with a simple percentage markup.

It's high because the industry is criminal by design and it's run by people with lower morals than Idi Amin, as is our entire government who would otherwise regulate it.

When you're getting fucked in the ass it's pointless to ask why. You should be plotting revenge instead.
