Chris Webbers knee is the Kings achielles heel. If he goes down the whole Kings offense is ruined. Also he is very injury prone
I personally think he takes too many jumpshots. He's able to bang his way to the hoop, especially against guys like Odom...but he settles for a jumper instead.

The negative about Webber is his lateral movement/mobility. I understand that he sustained the ankle injury which is why it's hard for him to move. But at the same time his lack of mobility really makes him a vulnerable target on defense. However, he?s starting to regain his legs again, but he?s still a liability unfortunately.
The Positive thing about Webber is,that since his knee has had surgery's over the years,he's not as fast as he use to be,but i do like the fact that he seems to be playing a bit harder when it counts the most.he seems to have a good work effort, and it show's so far.

I know it's hard...but that's the point of the thread.
After all the injuries he ha shad he is now a liability for this team on defense. His offense is amazing though.

Here's the question I have about Webber, which maybe you Sacramento fans who watch the games can answer - he's putting up very good numbers (21-9-5), but why is he only shooting 45%? He doesn't take threes, so that's not it. According to 82games.com, 58% of his shots are jumpers, where he only shoots 37%. So is it really that he's settling for jumpers that's killing him? If he went inside, and raised that percentage to 52%, let's say, could he be putting up 25 ppg?
I gotta agree with Harry and say that the biggest negative that Chris Webber has is to shoot his mouth off and create tension in the locker room(ie calling out Peja at the end of the '04 playoffs). As much as I respect him, if he thinks that the Kings are going anywhere without himself and Peja on the same page, then he is sadly mistaken. On the other hand, sometimes how he steps up vocally and leads the team can be a huge positive.

If he were to use his "Vocal outburst's" in a more positive way like trying to lead the team..he'd get a lot more respect. Anyways...another negative about Webber...is his lack of defense.like everyone has said his knee injury's have made him weak in that area, but too be honest he wasn't that much of a defender when he was healthy..at least to me he wasn't..but bascially..Webbers biggest negatives is his mobillity and mouth.
someone else already hit the nail on the head lateral movement. the vertical movement I can live with, he is getting rebounds and making his shots. the problem is that he cant move laterally to get in front of someone that is about to drive the lane on him.

He doesn't have the explosiveness he used to have to take it to the rim. He isn't going to serve anyone a facial. I would like to see him post up a bit more though. He has a sweet baby hook that he doesn't take often enough.
