Exactly what I have feared. Asoon as he came down, I said to myself "crap". The Nets just took a huge blow. Out of all the injuries this is by far the worst for the Nets. This is horrible.

I guess we will really need a trade for a big man now. There isn't much stopping us. We are losing and we just lost our best big man.

Damn. This is horrible. Nets can't catch a break here. Mikki is a good bench player, but without him bringing the energy off the bench, who will?

Yea, bad news for the Nets, I wonder what they will do.

Go for KG, Jermaine, Pau? rebuild? or stand pat?

Maybe trade Kidd to the Timberwolves for a KG and Kidd combo there.

This is great. When I thought things couldn't get any worse! Who the **** is gonna replace the low post scoring? No one on the Nets could score in the paint and now all of our points will come from the perimeter and you can't beat a team like that. We are gonna get sh!tted on in the paint. This year has been a disaster.

Oh yeah. The Nets' low-post scoring has always relayed on the shoulders of Nenad.

Still, the Nets have problably the best backorut in the league. If Kidd continues his great game, RJ could imrpove himself and VC will continue those 35+ point games, who knows how far can they go.
But Vince takes too many shots imo.

Compared to a Kobe or Lebron he doesn't shoot as much.

This is a huge blow for the Nets. They were already weak up front and just lost their best big man. The only options are: Mikki Moore and Jason Collins. Moore brings energy off the pine, but I don't know how he'll fair playing starter minutes. Collins has been atrocious all season and to top it all off he's extremely foul-prone, so two quick ones in the first and the Nets could get brutalized in the paint. This will put more pressure on Moore, who picks up fouls here and there also. I see Richard Jefferson playing some power forward. Physically he's strong, but he does give up some decent height. To top it all off Krstic's respected outside game opened up the floor for Kidd and Carter to penetrate. The Nets will also have to make up for his 16.4 points and his close to 7 rebounds. This could be a backbreaker to an already-struggling Nets team.

I agree with all of your points. We already have no presence in the inside and now we lose our best post player. When your best post player is either Mikki Moore or Jason Collins, you are gonna be in trouble.

the nets should just rebuild. even with a healthy nenad, where were they going? they have assets right now that they could use to get a real nice jump start on rebuilding in the next couple years. trading carter for young guys or some picks could really help, or maybe even trading kidd. marcus willams looks like he could really be something in the league.

I wonder if Thorn is on the phone right now looking for big men? Or is he waiting a couple of games to see what happens? He is in a tough position, because if he is looking really hard to get KG, then say goodbye to either VC or RJ.

Then again he might be trying to get Ely, Brown, or Magloire.

That's funny because both Bron and Bryant shoot less than Vince. Kobe has higher percentages across the board, and even his stats are messed up a bit due to him having to come back from knee surgery at the start of the year.

VC might be shooting more this year, but previous years LeBron, Kobe, and Wade have taken much more shots than Vince has. Let's not flame about this shooting topic. Let's stay on topic about Nenad Krstic's injury.

They shot more last year and still had a better TS%... K whatever.

Too bad about Krstic, hope he recovers well. He didn't even get hit, his knee just sort of caved in, that's scary.

Is Josh Boone recovered from his shoulder injury? maybe he could play some meaningful minutes at PF and Richard Jefferson playing some PF. While Collins and Moore hold the fort down at center?
