The most frequent question that comes up about the Wizards going into next season, and the free-agent period that begins Wednesday, is what will happen with Nene. He's in the final year of a deal that pays him $13 million and appears to have trouble keeping pace during an 82-game season, especially when opponents go with smaller lineups and Nene has to defend stretch fours. The Wizards, CSNwashington.com has confirmed through two persons with knowledge of the situation, aren't expected to move him during the offseason because there isn't serious interest in the 13-year power forward who averaged 11 points and 5.1 rebounds. If Nene is eventually moved, it'll likely occur closer to the trade deadline in February when most of his salary has been picked up by his current team and maybe a contender in need of a big man on an expiring deal could come calling. As the roster stands, the Wizards don't have a power forward who can stretch to the the three-point line. Drew Gooden is the closest to one and he's an unrestricted free agent. But even if the re-signs he'll be 34 when the season starts. Kris Humphries has been working on his three-point shooting but seems far away from being a viable option there. - See more at:http://www.csnwashington.com/basket...ning-tip-nenes-status-wizards-entering-summer
